4 Points out of 5

I've stayed here twice now. It's got a good location very close to the slopes and the town is not too far away either.

Plus points include clean, decent sized rooms and good bathrooms. They serve a buffet breakfast and dinner which is good quality, certainly for a ski resort.

Minus points, which apply to the country as a whole, are that the communal areas allow smoking, which isn't very nice coming from a country that has a smoking ban.

I'd go there again if there weren't so many other ski resorts out there waiting to be explored!

Hotel Paris Encamp Andorra (Encamp, by webaldia)

5 Points out of 5

I went to the Paris Hotel at Andorra, a little country in the middle of the Pyrenees last winter because I saw an offer of a 5 day ski course. Ski passes, room and meals where included.
The hotel is small and unexpensive, my budget was really low. But I had a great time during that week. The course was very well organized by the hotel, the sloaps are great, at a ski resort called Grandvalira. The hotel is very close to the ski area.
The food at the hotel is spanish, very good. I felt like I found a new family, as the staff at the hotel are really friendly. I am planning to go back this year. The location was very convenient and rooms very clean and comfortable.
Ah! and you also get a free entrance to a fantastic huge spa called Caldea. I could not image that with such a low budget, I could enjoy so much my stay.

L'Husky (Pas de la Casa, by mainzel)

4 Points out of 5

Definitely a good restaurant in Pas de la Casa. I've been there this winter a couple of times during ski holidays.

The atmosphere is nice with brick walls and wooden chairs and tables, maybe a bit dark but that's the way a warm and cosy place has to be during winter time.

During lunch time it is the best ski break I found during my stay (just hate these Pans&Co on the piste). L'Husky offers good hamburgers or lasagne for instance, for a decent price and have a nice terrace from which you can oversee the lift and a bit of the slope.

Dining there at night proved to be exceptional, as the cheese fondue was very good and reasonably priced. They have other option aside of fondue as well.

The service is on and off, but in general they are very nice and try to make your stay worthwhile.

The restaurant gets even better, when compared to the other options in Pas with the waiters standing outside trying to lure you in. Not saying that all of these other places are bad, just stumbled into one, that made me value L'Husky even more.

So definitely worth checking out. You can access the restaurant from the street as well as from the slopes.

5 star hotel in Soleu, Andorra. It's located in the mountains, surrounded by a very rustic landscape. The hotel is big and its facilities are very complete: restaurant, dining room with fireplace, wifi, bar, wine cellar, great room service, press, and a very complete spa circuit. The decoration in the hotel is amazing, very rustic and nice, it makes you feel comfortable. The room was very complete, with a very quiet atmosphere. Very recommendable, although I must say it was quite pricey. Perfect for a romantic break.

Hotel right in Soldeu, Andorra. It is a big hotel, with a restaurant buffet and café. We even liked it from the outside and from the inside it was just perfect. It was a great choice because we enjoyed and explored the area and at the same time we had a great stay. The service was nice and attentive. I recommend it for families, friends or couples.

Located in the Pas de la Casa shopping centre, in Andorra. Cosy and quiet place where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings. There's just one restaurant buffet. It was the right choice and we stayed little at the hotel, visiting and discovering the area, and we didn't need much. Service was fine. The price was not bad considering everything we did.

Emphasize the nice views from different points in the hotel. Ideal either for families, friends, romantic trips... It is worth it.
