We had a 5 hour stop at dubai airport on our way to Australia (actually most of the time in the emirates Business lounge). The signs on our way to the Emirates lounge were a little bit confusing sometimes and we were running around looking for quite some time to find it. The welcome there was nice and the "Lounge", if you can still call it that, is huge. They offer various foods in about 5 or 6 kitchens, showers, toilets, places to rest and sleep, gaming area, business area, free wifi all over the place.

A nice inviting old colonial India themed pub. Very cool and relaxing place, an oasis of relaxation after a busy day around the town. Perfect for unwinding or setting out for the night. Good selection of drinks, food is also very good.

It's home to the George and Dragon pub, an old Dubai watering hole and expat haunt. Very popular on the weekends or in the week. Excellent range of beers including London Pride on tap. Good range of food and a hoofing cocktail menu.

what to say about the worlds largest mall and most exclusive shopping experience. if you want to see all of it you need more than one day, thats for sure. the gigantic aquarium, the magnificent fountains and the breathtaking plethora of shops will blow your mind. i spent a day only window shopping because the stores are so fabulously decorated. fashion avenue is amazing. all big names and posh couture brands in one spot. even though there is no VAT in the UAE prices are pretty much the same as in europe. sometimes higher. so be careful what you buy. gold and jewellery is always cheaper so stuff your bag with gems :-)

By far the best airline I have ever flown with. The cabin crew were fantastic every minute of the flight. The food was actually quite nice, I have to have a gluten-free meal and unlike other airlines, I was given a very nice selection of food. There was so many films to watch that I didn't know where to start, loved the fact that I could check our flight plan at any time that I wanted as well as playing games such as bowling, pool and poker on the games screen.

The Ritz Carlton here at the Financial Center is 5 star hotel and for this category not too expensive.
The rooms are pretty large, bathrooms are big. Service is great.
Downsideso are that it is difficult to reach via cab and the breakfast is just not good.

It is of course a certain thrill to be on the tallest building on that planet. Entry fee is a sort of ok if you book in advance (internet!). It is normally booked out some days, so please organize it in advance.
Of course the building is the landmark here. Being on it, there is not so much to see from there. Still, being here - it is a place to visit.
