On Qype anyone can introduce or review service providers, shops, businesses and other public places and suppliers across Europe. And at the same time get to know nice people who share similar interests and, incredible, live just around the corner.

5 Points out of 5

My second time to Antigua, but my first to Jolly Beach. The location is astounding with the gentle Caribbean Sea, the soft White sands and the pale blue sea. Not to mention the lovely weather. The only thing that tops all of this is the amazing service. Smiles all round and always ready to please. I'll be coming back here without a doubt!!
Oh, the Beach Cottage is lovely and very much a romantic spot, well away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotel.

Probably the best value restaurant on Antigua, this unpretentious beach bar serves great seafood.

Usually have the Creole Red Snapper, just salivating thinking about it, and the cool beer next to it. Mmm.

If you are on the island, make sure you try this place out.

With incredible views overlooking english harbour and a great party atmosphere Shirley Heights is the place to be on a sunday night. Entrance is US $8 but free on Thurs and the place has such a laid back funky vibe. If you want to hear a calypso version of take five this is your place! Also with really good food which is surprising considering it's full of tourists. I would recommend heading up after sundown as before that you get fried (no plcae to hide from the blinding rays!) But after that you can see all the lights twinkling below you, in between the dancing of course!

Ignore the pounding music and head in for their chocolate fondant. They don't mind you ordering just dessert and it's amazing! Then go for a long walk along the beach to work it off!

5 Points out of 5

Loved this place, possibly the most romantic restaurant I have ever been to. As the name implies it is a restaurant on a pier that juts out into the sea and at night they switch lights on underwater so you can see all the fish swimming around. The food is delicious, with lots of frou frou garnish which normally I hate but for once this actaully added something to the dish. No good desserts but this is easily rectified just walk down the beach to umm The Beach restaurant and finish things off with their chocolate fondant.

5 Points out of 5

This is great. If you are in Antigua, don't miss out on some real Caribbean food. Go up St Mary's from Heritage Quay past Hemingways about a block and you see this shack with some tables outside and some steps leading into what looks like a shabeen. Don't hold back but dive right in to get some roti loveliness.

These are Trini (from Trinidad) rotis - floury flat breads - slightly thicker than an indian roti - filled with curried meats and potato. The portions are very generous and tasty. As the juices dribble down your chin you will thank the day you found this joint. Mmmmm wish I was back there now.

5 Points out of 5

Opus resturant on dickenson bay road is one of the best resturants on the island. The service and food are fantastic. We visited this resturant 3 times in one holiday. Formally known as peris pizza, Opus is now a modern resturant with a full international menu and great winelist. Although it has retained its regular customer base and kept a great pizza menu we tried one and it was delicious and fresh and full of flavour.
The fish dishes are very good and the mussels are so succulent.
I cant praise the food and the service enough here the only sad thing was how quiet it was on a couple of occasions when we visited it really needs more marketing as it is still named wrongly in most out of date guide books. dont let it put you off as it seems quiet it just means you get even more attention from the great staff here.
The prices are a little high but well worth it, if I could have picked up this place and brought it back home I would have done.

Halcyon cove is a hotel in the Dickenson bay area of Antigua. Its quite basic in terms of facilities but the staff are very friendly and offer a typical warm Carribean welcome. Also the location is excellent right on the beach. The beach is so quiet and very relaxing.
The hotel has a few bars and two resturants one of which the warri pier sits out over the sea and is a great setting for a romantic evening meal.
The rooms are basic but they are clean and comfortable.
Around the resort there are numerous fantastic resturants, make sure you venture out as the region has lots to offer and this hotel isnt the best example of all there is available on the island.

Nice green painted first floor bar and restaurant just outside the Heritage and Redcliffe Quays area.

We arrived just as they had opened, so could not have any of the breakfast, but the drinks were lovely. The owner came over and checked we were OK with our 10 month old baby and had a chat.

Recommend ... though bet it is packed on cruise-ship days!

A small hotel, restaurant & art gallery wonderfully situated on a hill overlooking a small bay in the southeast of Antigua. The last bit of road is unmetallled, even unmade, but it's perfectly accessible. The views are great and would be bettter if there wasn't some development underway on the other side of the bay. We went to eat. The food was good (Italo-Caribbean) but a bit pricey. Nevertheless it was worth it to sit on their shady terrace and enjoy the view. Book - it's quite a way to go from St. John's to find the place full of yachties who have sailed round from English Harbour.
