Villa Marciana (Varna, by Martin11855)

5 Points out of 5

Was invited to a corporate event and for the first time in Villa Marciana. Unbelievable. I did not know that something like it is in Bulgaria. A real gourmet menu, perfect service, luxurious rooms in a very simple village near Varna. For 11 years I do go to Bulgaria. I’ve never eaten similarly good. A real experience! I’ll be back! Congratulations!

We had never previously used an interior designer, but engaging this one to transform radically two of our main rooms in our house in Varna has proved to be an excellent decision.

Много добър ресторант, с прекрасна гледка над цяла София. Обслужването е добро и ненатрапчиво, а готвачът е майстор в приготвянето на вкусни ястия.

One of the largest buildings in sofia! An old, but badly modernized station with connection to Busses and the subway system.
Many small stores and a place to store the luggage. On the counter noone speaks English, but most of the timetables are written in latin and cyrillic letters.

5 Points out of 5

I visited Ruse in July. Though every food is good and healthy in Bulgaria, the locals (my business clients, hotel receptionist, shop masters, etc) recommended this restaurant.

As Ruse is located on the Romanian border along the Danube, any freshwater fish dish (including a cat fish….) looks very tempting and is actually good. Also, meat grill should not be missed. Anyway, their English menu shows their speciality dishes, so you can enjoy the best eating culture of this small cultural town. Of course, wine is good, so is local beer, but don’t forget to order yohgurt to drink!

I also appreciated very friendly (they have a reasonable command in English) and professional-mannered staff with good knowledge of food and drinks, dressed in the lovely traditional clothes. Pricewise, super reasonable indeed.

Traditional wooden architecture and fantastic interior decoration make you feel as if you participated in the best Bulgarian culture.

It is very well located. After you get stuffed, it allows you to enjoy a short slow downhill walk to the town centre where you can find theatres, opera house, shopping avenue, park, etc…. I enjoyed spectacular fireworks in a summer evening.

5 Points out of 5

The best resort hotel in Burgas. Construction, design, facilities and decoration are of international standard. Very professional services. Many customers are Russian and German. Lobby and bar area are spacious and chic. Breakfast selection is good. A poolside breakfast is blissful.

Swimming pool and surrounds are beautifully designed and maintained. Customers have an easy access to a clean and quiet beach just behind the hotel (through the swimming pool garden door). Alongside the beach, there is a small promenade road leading to the central part of the town.

True value for money.

Staff friendly and helpful, room was good, modern & clean, although a little on the small side. Breakfast was not great – small selection of buffet breakfast foods, no high chair for our baby, staff present but round the corner out of view. Location pretty central & handy for getting to the train station by foot (15 mins).
