Frites alors! - Hotel
1710 Rue Saint-denis
Montreal
This is a pretty fun chip and burger place with decent chips, with a choice of sauce (and quite a choice) and nice burgers. Fun! (Paul Stevenson, 03-04-2012)

Juliette & Chocolat - Montreal
Rue Saint-Denis 1605
H2X 3K3 Montreal
A crepe place with savoury as well as sweet options. The service was a little brusque. The savoury creeps are not worth the visit. Spinach and egg very overcooked on both fronts. Overdone spinach and solid and meagre egg. When the waiter took the leftovers away and asked about it, we expressed our opinion about it and he walked off. (Paul Stevenson, 03-04-2012)

Chez Patrac - Montreal
Christophe-Colomb 6624
H2S 2G8 Montreal
Very nice 2 bedrooms Very nice 2 bedroom appartment. We only stayed 3 days but will return for sure. Freshly renovated, with a beautiful sun roof. It was the perfect place to go back to after visiting Montreal. The area is surrounded by good restaurants, groceries and stores at a few minutes walk, very convenient. And the metro is only 5 minutes away. We recommend and enjoy! Thanks Patricial and Alain! (the_cath333, 28-03-2012)

Thali Cuisine - Montreal
H3H 2G4 Montreal
Thali is an excellent resto to dine at or take out in a dash. They offer a combination of thali-style dining (combination of curries, naan and rice) as well as À La Carte dining. It's a perfect downtown gem and hidden on a quiet street amidst the Concordia university neighbourhood, its location works out to be a perfect playground to stop at during any time of the day. It's definitely one of my favourite places to dine and while it's small, Thali offers superior quality and great value for your pocket. Best of all, they even have pani puri and chaat-style dining, which is super for the snacking crowd. In addition, they have a good selection of sweet dishes. (urvivs, 11-11-2011)

L'anecdote - Montreal

H2J 2H7 Montreal
For many, L'anecdote has the best burgers in Montreal. Aside from the classic beef, they also serve veal, dear and boar meat burgers. I believe that I remember a vegetarian burger too. The fries are very acceptable. The alcohol selection is interesting... although I always end up sharing the same bottle of wine, which is (of course) twice the price than the SAQ's, but still affordable: around 20$ for a bottle in a restaurant is a pretty good deal. The Square Philipps Hotel & Suites - Hotel
Place Philiips 1193
Montreal
The Square Philiips is a 4-star hotel in downtown Montreal, within walking distance of the shopping and nightlife district on Rue Sainte Catherine. My reservation went well and I got my roomkey within minutes upon arrival in the hotel. I don't know wether this is happens often, but I got a One Bedroom Suite on the 8th floor. The Suite has lots of space (~750 sqft or almost 70m²), divided into one bedroom and a large living room with small kitchen. The interior style was ok for a 4 Star-Hotel with no real ups or downs. The only odd thing was the lighting of the livingroom, which was even with all ligths on rather dimly lit. There is a small pool and gym, free WIFI and free continental breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30. The breakfast is just some bread, cereals and coffe, served in a canteen style breakfast room. (340, 06-10-2011)
