BAD REVIEW - NO STARS (I had to put at least one star though for the comment to be posted) This review is regarding the Restaurant Schosshalde, located on Muristalden 40, 3006 Bern I went to this restaurant and had a very bad experience. First the service was so slow and my meals arrived very late and very cold. Even the customers that came after me got their meals much earlier, ate and left, and I was still waiting for my meal to arrive. Also, when the meal had finally come there was meat in it when I had clearly asked if it was a vegetarian dish with lentils. While the waitress could not make the meal without meat, she asked if I wanted another meal without meat, which I said yes. That meal was dry and tasteless. The worst part was when the bill came and I was charged for both meals, even though I did not even touch the first one with the meat in it. This is unheard of. Poor customer service, horrible tasting food and disappointing in general. I would not go to this restaurant ever again, and definitely do not recommend it to anyone. (r2345, 20-04-2012) 1

My first flight in a propeller plane. I was very excited. Bern has a small airport. The road from the bus to the airplane measures perhaps 100m. Check-in done within 5 minutes, security check done within 2 minutes, boarding done within 10 minutes. The DASH 8 is for 72 people. We were 24 and 3 flight attendants. It presses you in the seat during the start and then it goes steeply uphill. Here you notice anything about flying. The seats are comfortable and the legroom unusually wide. The dinner served was not lavish but perfectly adequate for a 90 minute flight. I eagerly await the entertainment program - the iPad2. By handing your id-card you get the small tablet-free use. Here I was a little disappointed. There were no movies, some music, no newspapers or books. In some games you could test your skills. Why there are games for which one requires an internet connection on a iPad2 on the plane I can't understand. Was a funny idea but realized something lacking. Nevertheless, a very pleasant flight, very individual. I hope there will soon be even more connections. Here we still like to fly with and it is no louder than other aircraft. An old school Swiss restaurant in a great central location. This is one of the places where we ate on a few occasions - which is praise in itself. The prices are reasonable (for this area) and the food was really hearty and traditional. Definitely a no-frills place, with wonderfully friendly staff and, if you've got boring kids with you, something on the menu to please them too. This is a seriously sweet little place. A hostel, restaurant and bar with a lovely little terrace looking over the Lauterbrunnen valley towards Silberhorn. The food is proper Swiss grub and the beer is great. Have a look inside at the quaint little bar - a real bolt-hole when the weather closes in or it's snowed. The owners are really lovely and it is an incredibly peaceful and relaxing spot to while away an afternoon with a book, a few beers and a pure alpine view. (RagingAardvark, 07-10-2011) 5

Fantastic! Go there! What? You want more? OK. Surrounded by one of the most incredible panoramas you are ever going to see, this restaurant/bar/pub is situated on the Winteregg station between Grutschalp and Murren. A really great little circuit from Lauterbrunnen. There are loads of tables both inside and out, a kids playground, an incredible view (did I mention that?) and wonderful staff serving wonderful food. At weekends, the local Oompah band turns up and plays for an hour or so. There is a mixture of great traditional Swiss food together with more mainstream crap for the kids who don't want to partake. You can even get a raw Wurst and barbecue it on a stick on the open fire yourself. When the skies are blue and the sun is out, this is a truly superb place to while away a few hours.
