Coole Thai Massagen, echt gut.
Hi, I wanted to for the sake of the exellent Thai Massage: ThanTawan Basel (I promised) to give time to my opinion. Good things need to be praised!
In short:
Office too much, too much stress, therefore: the Thai massage.
I was skeptical but was taught in 90 minutes by a slim but strong of a better Thai.
I've been in Thailand, and there are the massages one part a little bit strong. The massage here was a real spa experience.
I was really somewhere else and 90 minutes in relaxation.
Cool Thai massage, great.

Excellent kebab eaten here last weekend. Not quite as good as the best I've had in Berlin but better than what you get in the UK anyway.

Actually, the restaurant has now been moved down from the 1st Floor to the Ground Floor.
It is immediately on the left (the 1st door) after you go through the main pedestrian entrance to the Stücki Shopping Centre
Slightly smaller than the space earlier, but more intimate atmosphere and even better decor.
The food is the usual top King's Kurry standard (speaking only for the vegetarian dishes, as I'm vegetarian).
But, in my view, the service is more personal here than in any of the other King's Kurry outlets.

Excellent regional food wth some creative twist.
Nice wine selection with a great Port menu.
Nice and cozy decor, with large wooden tables; the benches are not too comfortable.
A large monitor shows the activity in the kitchen and in the Flammenkueche/Feuerkuchen oven.

Not sure why this place is so expensive, given its proximity to the German border. However, the food is pretty good. Don't go at 9pm as the kitchen is already closed. Take-away is possible, but priced too high for me. Worth a visit, but if you're prepared to drive further, wait until your in Weil am Rhein or Lorrach for better value.

Not cheap, but ideal if you're hungry. All you can eat buffet of meat and vegetables cooked for you 'on demand' with the oil and sauce of your choice.

It"s a nice place, good atmosphere and food but it's also a bit expensive.

Probably the most comprehensive music store in Basel for instruments as well as audio. There are three levels. The ground floor has all the CDs, with a fairly large selection of genres and artists, as well as a listening station for some of the new releases or current top artists. There's also a good selection of sheet music for a variety of instruments (violin, piano, guitar, etc.) -- and if you can't find it here, they will order it for you.
The lower level is where you can try out their pianos and electric pianos (I have not spent much time down here...too many bad memories of scary piano teachers), and the first storey has all the guitars (this is where I spend most of my time). You can try the ones they've got (Fenders, Gibsons, Jacksons, lots of choice), and you can order others from them as well.
They've got a limited supply of drum kits (usually one or two), but there are lots of percussion items. If you're looking for a percussive turtle, or fruit-shaped shakers, or coloured claves, this is a fun place to mess about in for a while. The only drawback in Musik Hug is the prices -- while instruments are pretty expensive in Switzerland anyway, the CDs and sheet music prices are pretty high. For deals on media, I usually search around Ex Libris, or even Manor.
Customer service here is very good, and the clientele is pretty diverse...you do run into the odd musician once in a while (meaning "odd musician" in the sense that musicians are sometimes a bit odd)...just don't let them intimidate you. They're probably more afraid of you than you are of them.
knibbd I wish I had the opportunity to check this out myself! Meanwhile, thanks for the review.
