The tast is not bad. If you have experience with tradtional "peking duck" espicially service on this price. the environment is good. the rest menu is over average level. The roast duck, is four of five level. maxium.

Nice and very modern airport. Very big. Staffs are friendly also during late in the night. Very secure and border police works fast. Even transit time is short there is no problem to catch the plane.

One of the few restaurants left that continues to roast ducks with wood from fruit trees, Xiheyayuan’s delectable kaoya (¥138) is juicy, succulent and tender. Condiments, ranging from tangy blueberry sauce—used especially to complement duck skin—to zesty marinated carrots, are placed in an “eight treasures box,” along with the traditional accompaniments. Besides the expertly cooked duck, Xiheyayuan also boasts a variety of Sichuan and Cantonese flavors. Our favorites include the succulent “grandmother’s meatballs” (¥19/person), and the joyously refreshing vanilla sautéed shrimp with peanuts (¥128)

I'm not sure where the photo for this market came from (on the business profile) but this is a vegetable, meat, seafood market. It's a pretty good one too. I often go to buy whole salmon filet. Prices are good as are the products but ultimately this is an intermediary market. If you want to get the best prices you'll have to travel to south Beijing to the BIG SEAFOOD market.

Hamburgers are not the reason to visit Blue Frog - I would argue it's their terrace in the summer. The food is above average but it's exceptional when you're sitting out under the sky in the warm weather months. Not a bad option if you're new to town or just want to have an easy dinner / bar experience.

Ganges is a rock solid Indian restaurant that serves very tasty food. It hits all the buttons for me - good food, good service, lots of locations, comfortable seating, tables are at the right height and it's affordable.
tonyfleming forgot to add that this restaurant has moved to dongzhimen wai just above Paddy’s.

I like the bookworm but admit that there is a palpable smugness in the air. What the bookworm does well is book talks and books. Stay away from the food (who goes to the library to eat anyway?). There is also a bar there that is a nice addition should you stay into the evening hours. Books - yes, there isn't that many but what they do have normally is pretty damn good. yes, they are a bit China focused but look hard enough and you'll find plenty of gems.

When you first walk into this market, and you just think how are you going to look through all the stalls. But you realise everyone more or less has the same stuff. There are about 7 floors, each with different specialities, from shirts, watches, handbags, jewellery, designer clothes etc. You can pick up some great bargains in this market, but beware they really try to rip you off. If you really want something, only then ask they price and then haggle with them. Usually when you ask the price and don't want the item they can get quite rude. When you ask the price of something they will tell you triple the price of what it is worth. For example a mulberry bag he started on 600RMB which is like £60. I said too expensive and the trick is to walk away and they will naturally bring the price down themselves. The further you walk the lower the price gets. He then dropped down to 200RMB and as I walked a couple more steps he said 100RMB which is like £10.
They will ask you your price also, give them a quarter of the price they ask and I guarantee they will come down to that if not maybe a little more which would still be cheap as you gave them a lower price. This place is simply full of fake designer goods.

This restaurant was extremely packed out every night, I went here twice and was not able to get a seat so on my last nights stay in Beijing I went back and luckily got a table. This place was recommended by many people in China however for the price we paid it was not nice at all. We paid about £40 to eat here and you get a set menu. You have a hotpot like stove on your table with boiling water which has some seasonings in there. You simply get your noodles, beef slices etc and put them in the water and in a few minutes take them out and eat as they cook very quickly. I found this food to be very bland and not tasty at all. We wasted most of our food, hardly ate and wished we had just eaten in McDonalds. It depends how you like your food in order to enjoy this, as I eat a lot of spicy food, this was just tasteless for me.
