We have stayed in Mamaison Hotel Riverside Prague only with my wife for one day only. But we both fell in love to that hotel. Very good and smiling personel, excellent transfer-service. Good location. Stylish design. Very tasty breakfast. Coffee-machine in room. Great bathroom.

Worst club in the Prague. Be vigilant and careful - instead of good and funny spend time - You can have discrimination on a national sign and destroyed health.I with me friend, want enter in this club, but tickets seller dont want let us in - because we are foreigners and dont speak czech. When I get out my mobile phone (with camera) and want do film proof discrimination on a national sign incident - he call the security, and beat phone from my hand. After that security drag me out start beating and use pepper spray - try as much as possible destroy my health.

PH+ is a small nightclub at the junction of Kopeckého sady with Františkánská in the city centre of Plzeň. The programme varies nightly and includes a set fresh tunes and R'n'B night on Wednesdays. The local house and techno DJs of the MusicMafia perform here regularly. The prices are modest and there's free entry on many of the nights. PH+ was recommended by locals as one of the best nightlife venues in Plzeň, but I was disappointed by the atmosphere here, mainly because of a large group of Brits that flooded the dance floor that night.

The Brewery Museum (Pivovarské muzeum) is housed in one of the very few beerhouses that are still standing in present-day Pilsen. It is located in a building from 1545, which belonged to one of the few inhabitants of the city who had the right to brew their own beer on their premises. The museum gives a detailed impression of the historical production process and the life of the workers in a beer brewery. Hundreds of objects are on display and several scenes from everyday life are realistically depicted with dolls. Due to the relation with the Pilsner Urquell beer brewery, emphasis is put on the history of this company. Given its history and the fact that it is one of the largest companies in the region, it is no more than a logical consequence. The influence of the "Pilsner Urquell beer brewery":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/50604 is not overdone. As with all things Pilsen one receives a token for a small beer at the "Na Parkánu":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/1989978, "Na Spilce":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/1989984 or "U Salzmannů":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/119042 restaurants upon purchasing a ticket. A clear English-language description is provided free of charge, too. The entry fee of 150 Kc and 100 Kc for the permission to take photographs are therefore an absolute bargain.

Since the late Middle Ages until the late 18th century a large number of cellars has been dug out under the city of Pilsen by its inhabitants. Due to the very large number most of the cellars are interconnected. A small part of approximately 800 m of this extensive tunnel system is open to the public for visit. The entrance to the Pilsen Historical Underground (Plzenské historické podzemí) is located inside the "Brewery Museum":http://www.qype.nl/place/2057255. Due to a small number of visitors for a tour in a specific language it can happen that tour groups are merged or that one should join a tour in another language. This, however, does not pose any problem at all, since English-language audio-guides are provided for free of charge. These audio-guides are excellent! If you have any questions left –no matter how detailed– you can ask them to the Czech guide, who speaks English fluently. I think they've adequately handled this issue and I therefore see no reason for a negative review on this aspect at all. Although the Pilsen Historical Underground is a rather unusual sight to visit, I found it very interesting and enjoyed the tour very much. A visit to the Pilsen Historical Underground is, however, not recommendable to people with walking impairments and to those who suffer from claustrophobia!Although entry tickets to the Pilsen Historical Underground and the Brewery Museum are sold separately and are not valid for both, the permission to take photographs is valid for both but not included in the entry fee. The entry fee of a mere 90 Kc and another 100 Kc for the permission to take photographs is an absolute bargain, especially considering the fact that a token for a small beer at "Na Parkánu":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/1989978, "Na Spilce":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/1989984 or "U Salzmannů":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/119042 is included in the ticket price.

What is it with Plzeň that the best places can be found underground? Restaurant 12° is no exception to the rule and is located in the cellar of a building along the formed city wall of Plzeň. Its modern interior is decorated in soft natural colours, combining light-brown leather seats with sandstone and beige. It is one of the few restaurants that do not offer any Czech fair, but international dishes instead. The price level is slightly higher than elsewhere, but to Western European standards still cheap. I found Restaurant 12° to be a welcome alternative in a country where the vast majority of the restaurants offer only local fair.

The Astory Hotel is a four-star hotel in Pilsen in a very central location. Both the railway station, the "Pilsner Urquell beer brewery":http://www.qype.co.uk/place/50604 and the city centre can be reached on foot in several minutes. Despite its location on one of the busiest roads in Pilsen, the hotel is dead quiet at night. The spacious rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and come with very comfy beds and various modcons. Ditto for the bathrooms. The competent and multi-lingual staff at the reception will gladly assist you to ensure you enjoy your stay. The hotel also offers parking space a plenty, both directly in front of the hotel and at the car park across the street. The breakfast buffet could be slightly better for a hotel in this category, but otherwise I can fault this hotel. In all I think the Astory Hotel offers excellent value for money and I would love to stay there again next time I'm in Pilsen!
