GMRE is by far the worst landlord ever. I have lived in many cities and different apartments, and most of my experiences with my landlords have been positive, or at least neutral. At GMRE, however, I only had problems.

The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. Once I moved in, it was virtually impossible to contact anyone – I was never able to reach anyone by phone (nor was my representative at the tenant’s union), and a fast email reply would take two weeks. I once waited 6 weeks to find out basic information regarding procedures to transfer a lease to another party (after which I was chided for not starting the process early enough – I sent my email 8 months(!) before my lease was up).

I have waited two years to get my deposit back, and have had to get my tenant’s union involved in multiple issues in which GMRE was simply going against the law; all of these were ultimately resolved in my favor, but it has been years of hassle. Do not sign a lease with this company. I rarely give negative reviews, and I am a firm believer of giving the most balanced perspective possible. For this company, however, I can come up with no redeeming qualities.

Excellent photo examples in the window and kind staff who also share some of their experience when asked. Good product selection.

Beer for 1,60 Euro. Berlin alternative charm. A theater in the backyard. This is what makes Berlin so interesting. Hope they can keep this place!

bring blumen – the guys who save the day‎‎ Simply loved the experience with BringBlumen! It gave me the feeling of a warm family business, way ahead from the a classic impersonal flower delivery website with contact forms, phone operators and support tickets. These guys have a flexible, caring and very personal approach which makes you feel like a special customer. They managed to handle perfectly even an unusual delivery where no exact address or phone was given, but only an email address. Now that seems impressive for me! Also, the promised timing of the delivery was 100% exact, and they’ve got a good sense of humor too at delivery time. I’d say they work like a Swiss watch, although they’re German
