I was in this restaurant some months ago, together with a friend. Everything we ordered was in best condition. We had red vine, steak and pizza.

Prices are on a high level but for me the qualitiy was on the same level.
I will come again, i’m still satisfied.

Griechische Feinkost (Neuhausen, Munich, by Batavier)

5 Points out of 5

This little grocery shop in the Donnersbergerstraße in Neuhausen is absolutely fabulous! My colleagues once dragged me into it and ever since I’ve been a regular customer. Their variety of goods includes not only the usual fresh veggies and fruit, but also delicious home-made Greek food, such as an oven dish (mousakas), stuffed wine leaves (dolmadakia), stuffed aubergines, olives, peppers, tzatziki and occasionally baklava, too. Needless to say that Greek olive oil, wines and ouzo are also sold here. The thing is, whatever one buys here, it all tastes equally delicious. To top it off, the owners are such lovely people. Hence, it’s a well-deserved five-star rating from me!

4 Points out of 5

This new addition to the neighborhood has a lovely atmosphere, friendly and quick service, well-decorated with a nice wine selection. Smart-casual crowd, mostly late-twenties upwards. With its large street-facing windows, the plentiful ambient lighting felt to me personally too bright during my evening visits. Fine during the day. Some sheer curtains would give a bit more intimate feeling at night.

During an evening visit I ordered the Weinteller, which included dates and apricots wrapped in bacon, chorizo and salami, Serrano ham, 2 kinds of hard cheese and a bowl of olives. Nothing special, quality-wise the individual elements were bland. I’d gladly have paid more for some high-quality chorizo and delicious olives and dates. On my second visit I had a chicken Caesar salad. It was delicious and filling with lots of cheese, juicy perfectly-cooked chicken breasts and nice bread on the side.

The cheesecake was delicious, served with a tart fruit sauce as an embellishment was great (could have eaten a bowl full of that sauce!). Consistency near-perfect and tasted just like you get it in New York, creamy and smooth and not quarky like German-style Käsekuchen. I also got to taste the plum cake, and it was just as impressive. At a second visit I tasted 2 more cakes, just perfect. It’s definitely worth saving room for dessert at this place. My one experience buying cake to-go on the weekend was a bit of a production, as there was nobody tending to the counter at the front and the order/pay/pack-up procedure took almost 20 minutes.

All in all, definitely a place to try and a nice addition to the neighborhood. I find the prices more than fair and personally would rather pay a few Euro more for an improved Weinteller (currently around 10 Euro) next time. I can confidently say that I have not come across friendlier service anywhere else in Munich. A definite plus.

2 Points out of 5

The food is good but overpriced for what you get. Over 10 Euro for a bowl of soup (pho bo)… I’ve paid 7 euro for a bigger portion that was tastier and much more generous with the herbs at the place on Maistrasse.
The smooth metal chop sticks made it nearly impossible to eat… Everything slid off and everyone was struggling with them. Very frustrating!
The restaurant is decorated like the lowest deck of a ship, dark and cozy but it is very loud. Of the 4 waitresses serving us, one was competent. The other three spoke too quietly for the sound level in the restaurant and one was unbelievably rude, getting visibly agitated (rolling eyes, look of death) after nobody took notice of her three whispered attempts to take our drink orders. Maybe the place should invest in some assertiveness training for their wait staff.
This was my second visit. The first time I enjoyed myself but a bit turned off by the slightly arrogant air of the serving staff. After my second visit I don’t expect to return anytime soon… Plenty of other Vietnamese places around.

I’ve been there again and the quality of food is great and the service is very fast and friendly. They added delicious tarts to the menu which for me is another good reason going there.

Cool restaurant with modern, freshly cooked meals! You can order your drinks and meals at the table using the build in ipad and a bar code you get when you enter the restaurant. The service is very quick especially when you consider that the meals are freshly cooked. So far I tried the coconut chili soup – which is my favorite – and rump steak stripes with pasta. Both are very delicious. The meals and drinks are reasonable priced and you can have a complete meal with drinks for under 10 EUR. I will be back soon!

I am training at EMS since nearly one year.

I am in general not a big fan of fitness studios (I get bored). But if you don’t have a lot of free time, the advantage of EMS is clear: very effective (you train deeply the whole body) in just 20 minutes! And when you do other sports, you can feel the advantage of having a good general condition.

Employees are very friendly and I always train with one of them making the training nicer, more effective and motivating.

The studio is new and comfortable and very central in Munich (in front of main train station).

I recommend it!

1 Points out of 5

I rented a car for 1 week from Buchbinder @ Salzburg ariport – 1st week of January ’12. When I left the car back it was inspected by one of their staff – he signed off to say that the car was in perfect condition & that no further charges would apply – unfortunately this was not the case – I discovered a €77.00 charge (inc some airport tax of 15%) for “special cleaning” even though the car was left back in the same condition as it was picked up & as mentioned, their staff had signed off to say all was in order when I returned it. I have still not heard directly from Buchbinder in relation to these charges, i.e. they have still (3 weeks later) not sent me a receipt or any correspondence to inform me that they were charging me this unauthorized & completely unwarranted charge!

I booked the car through an online car hire site & they have tried to get these charges reversed but to no avail. I am not sure what to do now, I think I will just give up & just get a bus, train or taxi from now on!!!

I agree completely with the last reviewer:

NEVER EVER RENT FROM BUCHBINDER! PAY THE EXTRA FEW EURO’S TO A COMPANY WHO WILL NOT CHARGE YOU IN AN UNDERHAND WAY.
