I visited the Brauhotel Steig during the Winter season and it seems they cut down the service during that time. There was no reception area at all. The keys to the room were made available through a safe upfront the entry. The key code, however, was provided on a paper pinned to the front door as well, for everybody to read. The room itself was okay, maybe a bit old-fashioned, but clean and quite big. WiFi was provided in each room. One of the women working there was really nice and forthcoming, however others were rather rude and disagreeable. As soon as the restaurant downstairs closes there is no way of getting any drinks or food as there is no vendor machine available. Now to the good part: The breakfast offers a nice assortment of fresh bread and buns and homemade jam. A selection of fruits, cereals and yoghurt allow for a fresh and healthy start in the day. + Good breakfast (until 10am) - Service (at least in winter season) not that good - no minibar (ephyra, 02-02-2012) 3
