What/Why:

The singer, songwriter and all-round personality is hoped to attract novice crowds to the county racecourse and incite passion for the sport.

And performing at a race meeting is a first for Andre, who says he is “absolutely delighted” by the prospect of the gig on Saturday, August 20.

The star, who re-launched his career following a stint in the Australian jungle on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, where he fell in love with his former wife Katie Price, aka Jordan, said: "I’m absolutely delighted to be performing at Market Rasen Racecourse next summer.

“I’ve performed at loads of different venues around the world, but I’ve never sung at the races before. I’ve heard that there’s always a great atmosphere, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
