Tempest Flute Trio, The Forge, Camden, London

What/Why:

Tempest is an innovative flute trio from Manchester, looking to stretch the boundaries in all genres of music. Presenting an exciting and enterprising new programme, they will be showcasing a selection of brand new works that have been written for them by distinguished composers in the UK. The award winning trio promises to show you what you never imagined possible from 3 flutes and will play several works which will later be released on their début album with Nonclassical Records in summer 2012.

Today’s programme will include works by Patrick Nunn, Mark Simpson, Adam Gorb, Gary Carpenter, Lucy Pankhurst and Steve Reich.
