Originally a Savile Row tailor, he cut his music according to taste over two decades, from 1976’s Love Really Hurts Without You’, through ‘Caribbean Queen’ in ’84 to ‘Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car’ four years later. Awarded a MOBO for Lifetime Achievement in 2010 and still making every night a party, with a selection of his own hits and other soul anthems.
