FeedMe Music presents Select Cuts - Clapham by DavidGrenfell

What/Why:

…which gives them a funk/rock edge with catchy melodies. This has lead to interest both here in the UK and in the USA. The band decided to make music a full time job earlier this year and have been busy writing, recording and gigging ever since.

Musically Sunday Recovery pay close attention to songcraft whilst pushing boundaries with progressive overtones, whilst lyrically the album deals with everyday issues such as love, sex, politics and the environment. The band wanted to create an international feel to their debut album which has led them to mix the CD at Sphere Studios in London.Taking influence from the likes of Colin Edwin’s aforementioned Porcupine Tree, King Crimson and the melodic soundscapes of Muse and The Bends-era Radiohead, Sunday Recovery more than meld a sound of their own. Undeniably a brew that contains as much dark as it ever did light, the band are proving experts in the field of hard hitting rock music.

The Lightwings “sounded like it fell off the back end of the debut album from The Las, a real Merseybeat tinge to it”– Gary Crowley – Amazing Radio These South East Londoners are causing hysteria in the music clubs of our capital city. Their passion for Merseybeat, Britpop and Motown delivers a fresh new sound for 2012; they call it Beatpop. Their rock ‘n’ roll rhythms and infectious melodies never fail to stir up a frenzy with all the Girls and Boys. They make music designed to make you sing along and take to the dance floor! Influences: Indie & Britpop from it’s hey-day era combined with the British Rock ‘n’ Roll that took America by storm in the early to mid sixties.
