What/Why:
Celebrate summer’s last Bank Holiday with a specially-curated weekend of high art, live music, food, parks and Bank Holiday fun. Creative Tourist’s Boutique Weekender is on from 25 August – 27 August 2012.
The various venues for the weekender are The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester Museum, Gallery of Costume and Bridgewater Hall.
From the best of West Africa’s art scene to after-hours drinking in the city’s coolest clubs, from space invaders in National Trust gardens to wild swimming, and from new theatre to music festivals, this weekend marks the end of the summer in fine style. Best of all, much of it is free.
