As a completely lapsed vegetarian and committed carnivore I thought it might be fun to get some Qypers gathered for a bit of a bit of a ‘Meat Up’ i.e. pick somewhere that served decent quality steak or burgers (and beer), choose a time, book a table and go sample some tasty meat!

As for a venue I was thinking either a Gaucho somewhere (I’ve never been and the places seem to get mixed reviews), the ridiculously meaty (but excellent) Rodizio Rico, Black and Blue, or Bodeans (I’m open to suggestions).

What do you reckon? I think I could convince the boss to let Qyep pay for a few drinks if we’re lucky!

What a carnivorously good idea. I’m in, and then some. Been to Rodizio’s and think it’d be perfect but open to other meaty suggestions. Will check back to see how this develops!

Sounds marvellous. Gaucho is pretty expensive though.

Can you actually eat the face though, Tim? Mark of a true carnivore ;)

I know a friend of mine went to St John and had ‘rolled pig face’... I gues that’s as meaty as it gets!

Gaucho is pretty pricey, what about Rodizio Rico? I’ve been before and it’s pretty good value for money and the meat just keeps on coming.

Mmmmm….. Meat. Agree with Guernican. Gaucho is a bit pricey. Bodean’s would be good though. I love the “pig out for a tenner” thing they do.

@Timinator - When asked how he would like his steak cooked, an old teacher of mine said “Just walk it past the fire my good man”

From the latest review of Bodeans on Poland Street:

“We went on a Tuesday evening, when all steak dinners are half price after 6pm.”

Now that’s a pretty good deal!

I’ve heard the buffalo wings’ diablo sauce is hotter at the Westbourne Grove location than the one in Soho. Bodean’s buffalo wings are decent … and (sadly) the only place I know that has ‘em in London.

Anybody else know where to get some good buffalo wings in London?

The Big Easy on Kings Road is pricey but I think they do decent wings.
