I suspect that I’ll feel rather like an amateur among all the professionals here, snapping away with my compact digital! That said, I do take lots of pictures…

Nout wrong with a compact! I saw a guy attaching them to kites once - seems like a cool project…

i agree. it’s the photographer, not the camera. an SLR only makes it easier and gives a some artistic opportunity. having the eye is still the most important factor!

yes, to frame your shot is an art. Doen’t matter what canera you have
