Can anyone recommend a book that changed their lives in some positive way? Have you read something that has made you go 'Wow!’?

Sounds a bit hippy but, when I was going through a rough time, my cousin gave me a book called Step into the Magic..about mediating and visualising spirit guides etc..really helped at the time.

There are 2 by the same author and I can’t remember the name of the other..more magic or something..the 2nd one was better but the first a good run into the techniques.

Ok, try 'The Road Less Travelled’ by m.scott peck, anything by him is good. 'The Lord of the Flies’ by William Golding will get you thinking too.

I read a book nobody else has ever read: The Honest Dollar, by Dorothy Simpson. About a girl who lobstered on the Maine coast and worked very hard. Sounds silly, but probably it was the fact that a girl was the main character and got something in return for her hard work - like supporting her younger siblings.

Maybe that book is why I moved to Maine years later.

I have other examples, but will send titles later.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the suggestions. If anyone is interested I’d recommend Yes Man by Danny Wallace.
