hi everyone, I’ve just joined Qype – almost by accident, as I was just trying to write a review to start with! Glad I did though, looks like we can join and discuss anything here so I thought I’d see if anyone has the answer to this one! I am rubbish with technology, and as my hubby and I both have I phones, I find that every time I plug it into the laptop, I get in a real pickle and end up with every single photo stored on the laptop, on my phone. Plus i get his playlists, the lot. I have tried playing around with it all a bit, but the last time I managed to wipe a load of data off the phone in doing so. I am extremely clueless as you can see – any words of wisdom??

    Hi forsterv,

Glad you’re enjoying Qype. Keep on writing your reviews and follow us on Twitter or Like us on Facebook for some great competitions – this week it’s a free meal.

Re your phone query what type of phone do you both have? Once I know that I can try and help – though I may not be much help!

    Thanks

    Bex

Ahh, thanks Bex, we’ve got I phones (3g and 4s). My hubby has been playing around with it and we’re getting there so don’t worry too much if it’s not your field, thanks for getting back to me though!

    Hey Forsterv,

NOt 100% sure but I’ve been doing a bit of surfing the web and found the below:

How to Un-synic iphone from itunes

    Step 1
Connect your iPod to the un-synced computer with the USB cable that was supplied with it. Open the iTunes application on your computer by clicking on the icon.

    Step 2
Press the “Cancel” button when the alert appears informing you that your iPod is synced to another computer.

    Step 3
Select your device on the left side of the iTunes interface. Press the “Summary” tab and click the box for “Manually manage music and videos.” In the window that appears, click “OK” and select “Apply.” You have now removed automatic synchronization from your device.

Not sure about the pictures though I’m afraid, but I’ll ask around.

    Hope that helps?
