    Sounds good to me!

    Whatever you do….take Pride.

I like Pride, although Fullers seem to be taking the Mikey with their price hikes in the tenented houses at the moment. My local currently charges £3.25 for a pint of Pride and it is ….wait for it…..2.7 miles from the Brewery in Chiswick.

I also love London Pride - and we can sell it for £2.60 at the moment. Just a little further from the brewery, would you say?
Unlike other pubs, we charge the same price for all guest beers. I think that, with judicious ordering, we can make up on the lower gravity bees what we lose on the likes of Old Peculier. Hence £2.60. Unfortunately, it seems that our supplier (to whom we are tied) has been holding back on a price rise due to cost of raw materials, and this can no longer continue, so we may have to go up to £2.70 soon.

well my locals in hoxton shoreditch which as become a bit upmarket area, but they charge 2.90 for pride ans 3.10 foe esb, which i think is reasonable

  • 14 October 2008

    That does sound quite fair!

  • 14 October 2008

the best was 3 weeks ago the licencee told me they had over ordered esb,so that fri it was on sale for 1.50 a pint

  • 14 October 2008

Yep….had that a couple of years back. Managed to consume a firkin of ESB at £1 a pint myself over the course of 2 weeks…..
Must say, as hangovers go, they just blurred into each other ;-)
