Marc Bolan and Gipsy Lane

All that is Marc Bolan Feld originally the front man in Tyrannosaurus Rex which was later shortened to T- Rex. Information, photo's and events. Marc Bolan died on September 16th 1977 when the mini his girlfriend at the time Gloria Jones was driving , was in collision with a Sycamore tree on Gipsy Lane Barnes London. He was on his way from Morton's Club in Mayfair to his home on the Upper Richmond Road East Sheen. He was cremated at Golder's Green cemetary in September 1977. September 2012 will see 35 years of his passing but fans still remember him by holding events throughout September every year. Marc Bolan was born Marc Feld in Hackney on September 30th 1947. He had offices on Bond Street. He left a son Rolan Seymour Feld who resides in L.A. Rolan's Godfather is none other than David Bowie. A Marc Bolan Convention is held every year in Golder's Green in memory of this charismatic man and his music. This year the Official Marc Bolan Fan Club has invited a band called "Strange Orchestra's" to play some old Tyrannosaurus Rex songs and two members of a tribute band called "TooRex" will be performing an acoustic set.
