Hi All,
Hopefully i can clear some of this up.
@Notquiteox - Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. We do our best to get back to the community within 24 hours (sometimes it’s a bit more difficult with limited weekend resource). I’ve had a look in our administrative tool and it looks like you are registered for the competition (signed up on the 17th). As you have signed up, we will count your reviews from when the competition opened (meaning you have 18 reviews to go before the end of the month in order to qualify).
@Donquibeats and Epicurienne - Of the 1000s of people who entered the competition, we’ve received a very small number of emails from people that wrote the 50 reviews and didn’t formally enter the competition. We really appreciate your feedback and in the future we will make the terms and conditions doubly clear to avoid this sort of confusion, but unfortunately we cannot count your reviews towards the amazon voucher.
We take all of this feedback very seriously, so if you have any further questions feel free to post below or message me directly.

@ahunter (Andrew?): thanks for your feedback. I am still disappointed but I guess that there’s nothing else I can do. Even if you’ve had just a few emails about the mistake, it means that there was something unclear in that e-mail, and it wasn’t only me being stupid. I think I’ll give Qyping a rest for a bit.
@bluesofty: Is “unhelpful remarks” really ruder than “past caring”? You are an infuriating person to try to discuss points with. If you are a qualified solicitor I might have expected better. Or were you just after a flame war because I put some capitalisation into your screen name?

I didnt think the email was totally clear either. I was sent the email as part of my joining Qype and initially it seemed like the offer had been a part of that. I did click the link about 30 mins later once I’d added a few reviews as I wan’t sure if there was a counter or something to show progress (or if the first reviews had counted) as it told me how long it would take to be an insider but not how long until the voucher.
What was clear when I clicked the link was the promotion was full and looking around, I think it had been full for a number of days. It probably should have been taken out of the emails once this had happened rather than advertising it further

Well i have completed my 50 reviews and i havent had any confirmation that i will get the voucher, what i found interesting is that another member of my family has got their voucher and they forwarded an email they received from Qype about the vouchers, it says:
“There’s just two days to go before the Qype amazon challenge closes, so this is your last chance to get your hands on a shiny new £50 amazon voucher to treat yourself (or someone else) this Christmas.
Over 800 people have already received their voucher and as we have reserved one for every entrant, you still have a shot.
All you need to do is complete your 50 reviews by midnight on Sunday 30 November.”
From that it seems to me that everyone who registered before the deadline and has managed to do the 50 reviews should be eligible for the voucher, needless to say i believe i am entitled to the voucher, hopefully someone from the team can let me know if i qualify or not?!
Cheers

No, it’s an e-voucher. You’ll receive an email from Qype, it will have a code in it which you can redeem at amazon.co.uk for £50. If you got your final conf email then you should be safe.
If you’ll look just 3 posts above your first one, you’ll see that Rob put in a link to another thread where he talked about the timings. It says everyone should receive their voucer by email by Dec 10, and gives an email to contact if you don’t.
