Lunch near the Zoo

I know I shouldn’t need to ask about this, but can anyone recommend a good place for lunch near the Zoo, I have a year pass and visit fairly frequently with a toddler so it would need to be small person friendly.
In the summer we usually take along a picnic, but in bad weather the Zoo based options are a bit limited.

I know what you mean the big house is great but the options are limited but I was surprised by the food hall the last time I was there as it seemed a lot better, although it was quiet so maybe thats why.

There are a few places around there.
You could heat out towards the airport and there is a chinese restaurant on the Tesco roundabout or a McDonalds on other side.
Other option is heading back into town to Corstorphine hight street. There are a few restaurants there. Depends what you are after really - just avoid Agenda - we had awful meal there before christmas.
