Expats in Frankfurt

Looking for all those people here on Qype who live in the Frankfurt area and would like to get in touch with a few English speakers from time to time to remember what their native tongue sounds like! ;-)

Hi,

Just thought as new people come in, it would be fun to mention how we got to Frankfurt in the first place. I came over here about 7 years ago with my husband. After college he got a great job offer here so we decided to take the plunge and move. Didn’t think we’d be here this long but now have a great old farmhouse here and can enjoy ourselves. But I always long to meet English speakers wherever I go - just something about hearing people talk in your native tongue!

Perhaps we can manage to meet up every few months or something - as people have time and interest. And if not, hopefully we can share some cool locations to go to at the very least! ;-)

Hello,
I came to here because I had changed my work.
I used to live in Prague, but there still many difficulties to live there. So taht I always looked for a chance to live western Europe,then I got it!
Of course I want to meet many people!!
So where do you live now??

I live outside of Frankfurt in a small village near Bad Vilbel. We’re close enough to the city that my husband can easily commute to work every day but far enough away that we still can enjoy the feeling of small town life. Lived in big cities for a while and got kinda sick of it all which is how we ended up with a big farmhouse here :)
