I have to say I love to shop everywhere, living in london I’m spoilt for choice, at times I love to do central and go down oxford street or knightsbridge… but I prefer to shop locally in the local retail outlets, I’m a huge believer in save the small shops, lol. But you always find great key pieces, vintage wear or bargains in your local shops, so get shopping local guys;)

I also like to mix it up and shop in both local one-off stores as well as in the busier shopping areas, all depending on my mood and what i’m looking for :) I haven’t done much shopping in London yet so recommendations for where to find fashionable but affordable items would be most welcome! I saw some shops in Notting Hill that seemed promising for instance, but that was with just a glance as I didn’t have time to stop in yet. Suggestions?

I love urban outfitters, especially the sale!

You can’t beat Oxford Street for high street stores and Carnaby Street (and the surrounding areas) and Covent Garden for the more quirky stuff. For vintage it has to be Brick Lane and Shoreditch. Absolute Vintage is one of the only ‘known’ vintage shops where prices are still reasonable, and the markets in the Old Truman Brewery are a goldmine too. I used to go to Camden but now that’s just turning into another high street which is such a shame. Portobello Market and Notting Hill are great too, especially for jewellery, and Islington has some nice small boutiques as well.

I also keep my eye out for sample sales, especially for accessories, and pop into charity shops whenever I can, though I’ve never got the knack for shopping in them the way some friends have.
