Is there actually a decent Hungarian place in London? I must find one! I need a goulash fix!
The Gay Hussar at the top of Greek Street is a very famous old haunt of politicians and literati and the only Hungarian grazing ground I can think of off the top of my head. Good goulash. Never tried anything else.
Tikichris told me about this place… I can’t believe it’s the only Hungarian place in town…
Oh, I’m sorry, was one not enough? ;)
i really really really like Goulash!
Louis Patisserie in Hampstead is technically Hungarian, although they have almost nothing in the way of proper meals, usually just some simple sandwiches. They have amazing sweets, cakes, and all manner of confectionary, though.
I can recommend the Louis Patisserie - it’s a real experience, and safe and reliable enough to host even the most irascible of Maiden Great Aunts.
:-) my Hungarian craving will soon be fulfilled! I shall report back with my findings soon…
Quick Tip: Try to avoid the week-ends if you can - the Patisserie gets very busy indeed.
this is the exact reason why Qype is so brilliant.
I thought it was because I can now compliment you for being sexy. Voila.
blushing well, yes, that too!
Now wait just a doggone minute. When did this become private chat? And I want some sexiness too. (Arms crossed like a child, nose poised in the air).
I didn’t start it… have some sexiness ;-)
I didn’t realise that the point of these little compliments was to leach at each other.
But now I know…
