Euro2008 in London

Euro2008 in London

Basically, look at the fixtures, choose a game (ie France vs Italy), decide who to support (ie Italy). Then go to a venue/suburb in London that is packed with Italians to make some new friends, enjoy the food, drink, atmosphere and just as important...win! Repeat a hour later in a different suburb supporting a different nation. London is a wonderful place where this hobby is possible! Here is the full story: I did this a few times in 2006 during the World Cup and plan to do it throughout 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The English footie season is over and my mate Nick and I were just saying how it has ended well for all the teams we like when an advert came on advertising Euro 2008. England didn't make it. I said to Nick "I knew we wouldn't even qualify even though I spent hundreds of £££ to see England vs Russia at Wembley where we were slightly impressive, vs Estonia where we were unimpressive and needed an own goal. Oh and I went to Barcelona to see England play Andorra at the 1992 Olympic Stadium and joined the booing at half time. Thank god I went to Porta Ventura theme park two days later otherwise it was a wasted trip." Anyway....last night my mate Nick persuaded me to do a warm up for my 2010 World Cup in one city activity. Therefore I thought Qype users might be able to help with suggestions for where I can find the natives of the following countries: Germany Portugal Sweden Turkey Greece Croatia Austria Switzerland Russia Spain Czech Republic Poland Netherlands Italy Romania France If you want to join Nick and I then we will be adding our website link to this group shortly.
