great place for a come back in the middle age. here, there is a show every evening and you will be forced to eat with you hands, because you will receive only a spoon as cutleries… the ambiance is really nice and you will dring in typical glaces in wood or terracotta. the only thing is that the price is a little higher than in other tipical hungarian places.. but it’s something you cannot miss!!! my advice: order a plate for less than you are, if you are 5 take one for 3.. it’s really huge plate. enjoy!! provide 5000 ft

I loooove this place. A piece of italy in here. You will order your pasta, pizza, antipasti or whatever, directly to the cooker, and he will cook it in front of you! at the table you can add as much as you want of basilikum! really peace of south! Moreover, it’s delicious! provide at least 3 000 ft.

This place is nice because you can drink and eat everything you want. the only bad point i noticed it’s that it’s not a so good food’s quality and the waiters and waitress are not so nice, especially in margit korut. if you want to test it, go to kiraly utca, you will get pizza in plus, and the ambiance is better. you will pay a fix price for everything you can eat and drink. It’s usually 5 000ft but after 9pm and some other day it’s less. go on the website and look for those info. enjoy!

Very nice restaurant!
We were surprised it was not the top recommended by our hotel staff.

At the entrance we were greated by hostess, who was very proffesional & kept an eye on perfect runnig machine :D thats my definision of Menza.
Staff is very professional for food & wine recommendations, food is simple but well done and nicely presented. Price range for te quality of food and atmosphere is quite low, which is a good surprise once again at this restaurant. We were having 2 drinks per person (two people), main course and shared dessert – all togetehr for around 32 euro.
Its better to book a table there, since it seem to be always fully booked.

This place is a very special attraction in BUD!
Former soldiers teach you how to shoot with the most popular pistols, automatic guns and rifles and you have the chance to shoot on paper targets (which you can take with you after the show) with real, deadly bullets.
We had the most amazing time at this place during our 10 day trip to Budapest!

The highlight is that, after the action, you can take the guns and make some new profile pictures for your social networks ;)

Tavasbarlang (Tapolca, by Batavier)

3 Points out of 5

Located just below the surface in the centre of Tapolca, a town some 20 km (12.4 mi.) north of Lake Balaton, is the cave system Tavasbarlang. This cave system was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century while digging a water well. Although the entire cave measures approximately 4 km (2.5 mi.) only part of it is open to visitors. The cave is connected with the nearby Mill Pond (Malom-tó). The part that can be visited consists of an irregularly shaped corridor and several chambers. The cave has been inundated to allow visitors to explore it by boat on their own. One should not fear getting lost, since all exits but one have been closed off. One should not fear drowning either, since the water is clear and only about 4 ft. deep. The only real danger is that of bumping one’s head against the frequently too low ceiling. Contrary to e.g. the Akktelek cave in northeast Hungary, the Tavasbarlang was formed by erosion of sandstone over a period of many centuries. Hence, one should not expect impressive stalactites or stalagmites. The boat ride lasts approximately 20 minutes and is suitable for children.

Terror Háza (Budapest, by Batavier)

4 Points out of 5

The House of Terror is a museum and memorial, dedicated to two of the darkest periods in the history of Hungary, namely the atrocities committed by the Hungarian Nazis towards the end of the Second World War and by the security service of the Hungarian communist regime after the Second World War. The House of Terror is housed in the infamous building on 60 Andrássy Boulevard, which was once the headquarter of both these organisations. Rather than an exhibition, the House of Terror chose a different approach, namely that of displaying documents and original film footage. Leaflets are provided in multiple languages, except for most (all?) of the audio fragments, which are only available in Hungarian.
Having visited both the House of Terror in Budapest and the Stasi Memorial in Berlin, I found both similarities and differences. For once, both have a basement where gruesome tortures have taken place during the Stalinist era. Unlike the House of Terror, which has been turned into a modern and well-designed museum/memorial that focuses on the entire country, the Stasi Memorial is still in its original state and focuses solely on the complex. Moreover, whereas visitors are guided through the former Stasi-prison by former inmates, visitors are left to explore the House of Terror on their own.
In short, I found the House of Terror a rather compelling museum/memorial that is very much worth a visit if you’re interested in the recent history of Hungary.

Very pricy but if you have a special occaison and want a asian treat absolutely worth it.
We tried the tasting menu which consists of eight courses and were pleasently surprised by the signature dishes of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Also I can recomment trying the selection of sake´s with the food.
The Staff is super friendly and attentive although sometimes too fast for my taste. But as we asked them to slow the service down a little bit it wasnt a problem.
