Ristorante Il Coriandolo - Milan
Via Dell'Orso 1
20121 Milano
Uhm this place is really expensive for what they offer. It's a pretentious place, trying to market itself as a gourmet restaurant when in fact it's not much better than the average in the neighbourhood. And alll the photos of famous  VIP patrons on the wall do not impress me. I had a very simple meal of risotto with safran and grilled tuna with sesame crust and paid a hell of a lot of money.Everyone knows risotto takes time to make, I got mine in 5 minutes, which is very suspicious. Also the dips that were served with the tuna were unspectacular: one was a herb mayonnaise from a jar the other a very bitter and salty rucola (rocket) pesto.Still kinda ok but not for 60 euros per person (plus a glass of white wine). Zurigo Hotel - Milan
Corso Italia /a 11
20122 Milano
Hotels in Milan are bl**dy expensive. I ended up here, a 3 stars that charges over 100 euro per night. Even if the location is very central the hotel is located in a practically dead part of the city. Very few restaurants/bars nearby, the closest for food is the super-touristic Duomo area.I'm here for business so I got a single room. I got a mini single bed and I can barely move in the tiny room LOLRooms are clean, and reception helpful but the breakfast is catastrophic. Very cheap ingredients, super bad coffee, powder orange juice. You better forget about breakfast at the hotel and go for cappuccino and croissant at a nearby place. (LucacuL, 24-05-2013)

Osteria dell'Acquabella - Milan
Via San Rocco 11
20135 Milano
Very authentic and cheap place (in expensive Milan) which offers the standard Milanese fare.Only drawback: not suitable for vegetarians. You'll find at most one or two dishes in the whole menu for you. The problem is that local recipes are all about meat. You will have the same problem in a lot of similar places in Milan. They have a very good wine list. (LucacuL, 24-05-2013)

Lacerba - Milan
via Orti 4
Milano
This review concerns the bar not the restaurant.Cozy/cool bar with a very interesting cocktail menu. Funny: they even have "aged" cocktails in an oak barrel. Each cocktail on the menu has an indication of how sweet and how alcoholic from 1 to 5 which is very useful to know in advance. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. All in all thumbs up even if it can get pretty loud (i.e. perhaps not ideal if you wanna talk to someone). (LucacuL, 24-05-2013)

La Brisa Ristorante - Milan
via Brisa 15
Milano
I have mixed feelings for this place. Food was good (4 stars)I loved the terrace, a real oasis of peace and green in the hustle and bustle of the centre (5 stars).I loved the tortoise that roamed around in the restaurant (5 stars). But I was mostly ignored by the waiters and it took me two hours to have lunch. Which is ok if you're on vacation, not really if you have business meetings scheduled (2 stars). So I guess they get 4 stars as an average this time. (LucacuL, 24-05-2013)

Pasticceria Marchesi - Milan
via S. Maria alla Porta 11/A
Milano
Just loooove this bakery. Still looks like it was probably in 1800s (founded in 1824). Even the staff look a bit like from 200 years ago and they're all unique and original characters. Espresso is very good. Try the rice pudding filled pastry. Thumbs up (LucacuL, 24-05-2013)

Il Golfo - Rome
via Raffaele Cadorna 24/26
00187 Roma
Seafood restaurant at its finest. Very friendly and excellent service, quite cheap and extreamly delicious! The place gets filled with local people around 10pm, and were no other foreigner apart from us. A must go restaurant in Rome! (kantaro2, 23-05-2013)

Il Borgo di Vescine - Radda in Chianti
Loc. Vescine
53017 Radda in Chianti
Lovely hidden away hotel and wine resort. As guests you get to taste their wines for free. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, speaks english and some german. The majority of guests is german. The hotel looks like an old village with houses dotted around a main square. The pool area is big and has a lovely view. Rooms are quite dark but spacious. Even though the walls seem thick the noise throughout the halls is quite loud but bearable. Views from most rooms breathtaking. Extra pillows and blankets are at your disposal in each room. The breakfast is not very varied, dried or canned fruits, yoghurts, cereals, cuts of meat and cheese. We never had warm breakfast and to be honest i dont know if there is any. Waiters very friendly. Never had dinner. (pinkhotstone, 19-05-2013)

Albergaccio di Castellina - Castellina in Chianti
Via Fiorentina 63
53011 Castellina in Chianti
On our trip to italy we stopped in this restaurant that had only good reviews but unfortunately we were disappointed this time. 6 people, 12 different dishes and only one was really good and was ok for the price charged. One course €26, two courses €44 and three €56. The primi piatti were ok but in case of the spaghettini not hot enough. The t-bone steak was delicious and also cooked to perfection. I ordered a filet of pork which turned out not to be filet but another much fattier cut of meat. Side dish of potatoes which were not fully cooked. The bread was enjoyed by all of us also the olive oil was nice. Service was ok, spoke english but didnt try to give us information on wines or dishes, basically just plate carriers. For the prices charged we expected more. Desserts were good and delicious also the only dish that was nicely decorated. Bottle of chianti classico from €30.total paid for 6 €335. All in all the quality didnt match the price. We wont come back. (pinkhotstone, 19-05-2013)
