Yes, the ale is cheap. Yes, they have some guests. Yes, the clientèle are an amusing mix of chavs and alcoholics - which makes for fun chat! But, it's...” more...

Anyway, it's a very nice place frequented by the fellows of the mathematics department at UCL, so you'll never be short of a spot of vortex-chat over a pint of special. The...” more...

Phil Chambers wrote on 15-11-2007 “The Earl is a pretty good drinking establishment in Notting Hill - and probably the cheapest one at that, being as it is, Samuel Smiths. I like the interior... pokey corners, wood paneling... open fires. It's also quite big. Sadly they don't have any hand pumped ales here, which is a real shame, as...” more...

Slightly hidden in the mews, you won't stumble across it unless you know, which means the crowd is locals, lecturers, and students. There used to be a really great boutique car garage across the road that had a...” more...

The landlady is a particularly nice Irish girl who always will attempt to fit...” more...

I was shocked when I found out they're actually owned by Punch Taverns, don't let that put you off! Kinda glad it hasn't had a modern-makeover like the White Hart nearby. I'd given up on my search for a half-pint of Hobgoblin by now so was drinking rum n...” more...

Just add on pubs along the way in between holborn and the outliers, 11 is clearly too few anyway. And I think you should select pubs on the basis of the pubs marked on the map forming the shape of santa claus. then even aliens flying past in their UFOs would know there was a christmas pub crawl happening
