The Best Public Tennis Courts in London
Over the years i have constantly battled to find good, public tennis courts (particularly in south London). This guide is my compilation of the "better" public courts in our nations capital. I'm not going to rant about the general quality of public courts in London (in a word - crap). Instead i will do my best to pick out the golden nuggets where you can play for less than a fiver and not have to worry about "tramps being sick in bins" or "the San Andreas Fault running across your service line"

Take Hurlingham, where if you’re not wearing 87% white, some haughty octogenarian will shuffle over and delight in ticking you...” more...

The membership is relatively cheap and the clubhouse is comfortable and there are some fun events over the year including fireworks displays and BBQs in the summer. A added bonus is that they enter the ballot for Wimbledon...” more...

The 10 hard surface courts are well maintained and there are almost always some available to play on, apart from on the sunniest weekend days when the club gets quite busy. You can have group or private professional coaching and in the school holidays there...” more...
