We have just eaten at Auberge de La Salvetat, a suberb hotel and restaurant in the Dordogne Valley. Tel 05 53 63 42 79. The inn is in between Bergerac and Sarlat near Cadouin. Traditional French country style - comfortable, welcoming and not at all pretentious with simply delicious home-made food. The choice on the menu was varied so not just duck. 29,50€ for a 4 course meal. Fabulous views over the forest from the terrace.
