Hotel has good breakfast, dinner is always in buffet form with lots of options. Rooms are ok, beds might be a bit small. There is a gym with newer machines and a pool available. The hotel is a family hotel, not for parties, everybody is sitting by the fireside in the evening. Good for relaxation. Hotel is close to the pists … 300m to walk or you can take the ski bus to the other ski areas.

4 Points out of 5

I was visiting Oslo and Stockholm last week and noticed how many sushi places there were. On my last night, I walked to the Oslo Opera House (for some free wifi) and looked up nearby sushi places. Sakana Sushi came up.
I got their small sashimi set and california rolls. It cost a total of 109 nok.
It was pretty good, and not very expensive either. I was definitely satisfied.

This place is called Vega! My mistake.

Oslo is one of the most expensive places on the planet, so its great to find good food, very reasonably priced.

Vega has a buffet lunch, yes folks all you can eat, every lunchtime including Sundays, and on Saturdays until 8pm. The times vary through the year though so check their website.

There is always a soup, several salads and two hot main dishes. I have had veg lasagne here and it’s incredibly good. The soups are always good and there is no shortage of bread and salad to fill up on. Vegans are catered for here as are gluten free diets.

It’s never busy here (except on Saturdays) which is a shame as it should be. Slightly off the beaten track from the city centre, but worth a visit. Great value.
