Bubble tea is bubble tea is bubble tea. Sure, they’ve got a greater range plus are much more similar to what’s offered in Taiwan but it’s still regular stuff & the service is so bad most of the time one is curious as to why they’re so readily willing to part with their money so. Nothing to write home about just that sg is so deprived of variety that anything vaguely different from the norm immediately garners a cult following.

The food isn’t as great as the ECP outlet but if one is craving chilli crab & does not possess the will power to traverse halfway across the very tiny island of Singapore, this will do very well. Both their chilli & black pepper crab are good although service is understandably shoddy during dinner due to the large number of patrons swarming the place. Not a place for an ambience meal but more of a family dining place.

Pretty classy place to hang out & have a few drinks, see & be seen. During the day, it’s a nice & private hang out. At night, it becomes a club but the outdoor area is great for socialising & catching up with friends.

Really nice layout & ambience, inside AND outside. Food is decent but coffee is even better ;) definitely worth visiting, especially with such a great location, it’s very accessible but still provides that momentary “get away” from the hustle & bustle of town.

Spotted Gurmit Singh eating here once with his family. Anyway, food is alright, better than average food court food but that’s not exactly a compliment. Only worth going if one is so severely disabled they can’t walk to lucky plaza for way better fare at the same price and without that disgusting food court smell that clings to all bodily surfaces.

Due to it’s location, very basic Sg breakfast fare is being sold at an inflated price – the kaya toast & tea is only average. Would not come here unless desperate because there’s a chain outlet for kaya toast just slightly down the road at the main shopping area which is Air Conditioned.

Don’t see what’s all the rage about currywurst being Berlin’s specialty – honestly that just makes the place sound sad, like it can’t cook anything else BUT sausage slathered in sauce & curry powder. Decent pick-me-up for a poor, starving traveller like myself whilst roaming the gritty streets of Berlin. Service is prompt & there’s a tiny area in front of the shop to stand & eat.

Really good döner kebab (apparently Angela Merkel’s favourite döner haunt) & decent food, especially the pommes gorgonzola which gets you a nice big chicken cutlet with cream cheese spinach on the side with salad. Their rice with aubergine & minced meat is good, too. More perfect for dropping in to buy a döner kebab for the go.

Very cosy (seating capacity of about 16 only) place with an even more warm host who promises that everything is made with love – you get very personal treatment so it’s perfect for lost, frazzled travellers needing a little home loving’. A little on the pricey side, but the food is definitely homely but I wouldn’t be dying to go back anytime soon, not unless I stayed in the Moabit area in Berlin again because it IS out of the way from the Mitte. Try the hot Ginger tea & grandma’s curried goat (really tender & yummy). I had the jerk chicken but I wasn’t very impressed by it. The hot sauce is definitely yummy though.

Sunday brunch is superb – get the platter for 2; perfect way to watch your lazy Sunday morning roll into afternoon. Layout is like a 60s cafe with red leather sofa seats & low-hanging chandeliers. Servers are smartly dressed in shirts, blazers & aprons so a pretty penny to pay for “just breakfast” but it’s a royal spread & the ambience is perfect for a leisurely catch-up &/or afternoon of catching up with that neglected book. Be prepared to queue but service staff will never let you feel neglected & is worth the wait, if any.
