I have only experienced Wendel as bar (so far) but I have to say the food sounds like it would be delicious, and much of it appears to be vegetarian.
As a bar it is nice, quite cosy, but with enough space to come with a fairly large group of friends. They often have music here (that varies in genre and quality) and sometimes they have snacks.
The price is ok, a little bit expensive for waht the drinks are, but not a lot different to many bars in Berlin.

I love this place! I was introduced to it by a friend not long ago and I will definitely go back soon.
I had cannelloni (which was amzingly priced at only 3,90E) and my friend had lasagne. Both were cooked fresh, still bubbling as we collected them.
The pizza also looked amazing, with so many delicios (veggy and non veggy) options.
You choose your food, then listen until they call it. Then you fetch it, sit inside or out and tuck in. Delicious.

This club in central Madrid is large and to begin with I thought, very pricey. In actual fact, the large entry fee (10E) is made up by them giving you two free drinks tokens. For me this was enough because the drinks are very strong-they’re certainly generous on the alcohol as I’ve found in many Spanish bars. The music is fun, dancey, but clso a little bit cheesey. It isn’t hardcore dance (which suited me) but don’t expect anything outside the mainstream either.
All in all, this is a fun club if you want a night full of dancing in a huge and quite impressive venue.

  • Cappuccino - Friedrichshain

    Cappuccino

This place, although called Cappuccino is actually more of a bar than a cafe. It serves pizzas from 2,90 euro as well as pasta dishes and salads. The pizzas are amazing. I can never finish a whole one, and I always find it hard to choose what pizza I want to begin with. I’m even veggy so that’s saying something when half of the menu is already struck out!
They also have lovely cocktails that cost up to 4,50 euro at happy hour (which is seemingly all hours). I love the Sekt, Orange and Amaretto cocktail, mmmm!

The location and decor of this cafe is lovely, especially nice when you can sit outside and enjoy some sun with your food. I just have a couple of little problems-one being the prices, another being the brunch cut off point.
Most of the menu stops being served after 3pm, after which the majority of the menu is full meals (eg pasta) or sandwiches. This isn’t to say this food isn’t great, but it would be nice to be able to pancakes, or croissants or other fruehstueck things later in the day, especially on a weekend. I had heard the food was great (which it is-very fresh and often homemade) and made a special trip up on a Saturday. I arrived at 3.05pm and was told I was too late for breakfast. I thought perhaps the breakfast would run longer on the weekends, but it doesn’t. So make sure you get there on time if that’s what you want!
The food was great, and the coffees and milkshakes were also good, though the prices were quite expensive compared to its nearby rivals. However, the quality of certain things, eg milkshakes and sauces was definitely worth it.
I would recommend this place for its quality, but be prepared to pay.
