Micro Direct - Manchester

This is a very reliable place for all your PC needs from the latest graphics card to finding the cheapest memory on the market. This is a company run business that has been open for a few years and is expanding by having another warehouse few miles away if they have it in stock in there main store. When purchasing online then the price you see if the price you pay. I normally pay in cash in store as they can charge the customer for using there credit card for purchasing for a small percentage fee. If anything goes wrong then they have technical area to sort the problem out.

Quite a large indian place, with a good choice of menu. if there’s a group of you then I would recommend one of the set menu, they have a good choice and you can try something you haven’t had before, like fish tikka!!. The service is good but I would be aware of going in when its quiet as the service can be a bit over top and they can be watching what you are doing. Food is always excellent and quickly out so you’re not waiting ages in between courses. The prices are reasonable but you can get cheaper on the curry mile, it just isn’t as good.
Olive Tree - Aberdeen

I have only been here once, for valentines day. It was a set menu which I think we chose in advance, a good idea as it means that you get your food in a reasonable time even though the place it packed. I think we went for a soup and I had the oyster starter. Lovely food, I hadn’t had oysters before but it was a good selection. The main was good and the service was quite good. The only downside of the night was that it felt like they had squashed in a few extra tables so it wasn’t particularly private we were in the middle of the floor.
Netto - Breightmet
Bury Road, Bolton, Greater Manchester BL2 6QT
30-11-2008
The netto is usually well stocked, unless you are after one of the special offers that they have on each week. The more popular items seemed to be gone within the first few hours of them opening. The best thing about netto is the brand products that they sell at discounted prices, so you know the food you are buying and that it will be good quality. The only downside is the fruit and veg, often when we have bought it from netto it is off within a day or two, which puts me off. The rest of the products are good quality. It may cheaper around Christmas to get brand spirits in the big supermarkets as they do the big discount then.

I have become quite a big user for amazon, they have a huge range of product everything apart form food and drink form what I have seen. They do a free delivery on spends over £15 which is sometimes reduced to spends over £5. the only problem I have with amazon is that a lot of the specialist products they do are done through other sellers that sell through amazon, which means they are not up for the free delivery offer. Good products and always fast delivery. Beware if you have tow people in the same household with separate amazon accounts. My girlfriend had bought some stuff when she was logged in her account but because it was on the same ip address I got the confirmation email, very odd!
Sports Soccer - The Trafford Centre

Every time I see this shop they have all these crazy ads like a closing down sale or everything must go to entice you in. Apart from the desperate outlook they show to the public, if you give this shop a try you can be pleasantly surprised how cheap some things can be. It’s definitely a good stop shop for all cheap sport accessories. I get my darts, tennis, badminton, and golf stuff from here as they are top quality at massive discounts. The trainers they have don’t change much from season to season but the classic trainers that don’t go out a fashion are usually here at the cheapest price then any where else.
Rileys American Pool & Snooker Club - Manchester
76-78 Deansgate, Manchester, Greater Manchester M3 2EN
30-11-2008
They should be more of these places around and I can’t understand why? This is a great place to polish up on your snooker skills in a comfortable sporty environment. You need to be on the books to be able to play here which costs around £15 pound a year and then pay hourly for the table. I normally take my cue with me as the cues provided vary from ok to banana style cues. The tables are smooth and in good condition and when you had one too many, they have the big American 8 ball tables in blue which are a good laugh to play with mates.
Matalan - Manchester
Westover Street, Off Station Road Swinton, Manchester, Greater Manchester M27 6GF
30-11-2008
Matalan is open to the public and has stopped charging for entrance or have the need to register your details to purchase anything. They sell clothes for all types of people, home accessories, books, video’s and toys. The best things they sell for men are the CK boxer shorts and wrangler jeans. The rest of the clothes they sell are pretty standard and I have officially bought my cheapest work shirt that cost £3. They sell cheap suits that is what I would go in there for which in total costs £50. The sales at matalan have produced great for value buys where you can buy reasonable goods all at around 3-4 pounds
Mint Lounge - Manchester
46-50 Oldham Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 1LE
30-11-2008
This place has worked by word of mouth and has been a secret for its success. The music is different to what you might expect at clubs as they are remixed to sound distant from the commercial output heard on radio. There are two bars downstairs and a good chill out area if the dance floor gets too much. The dance floor has a good size and has lowered sections on both ends with cool pictures and ornaments makes it more atmospheric. The mint lounge gets a lot of people coming from the northern quarter and its generally fun loving people who get down.
Panacea - Manchester
Ridgefield House John Dalton Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester M2 6JR

This is a pretentious bar to the outsider who pops in for a nosy because it is one of the coolest bars to be seen in. The entrance has two large glass doors that are managed by the friendly door staff that let you in. Walking down the wooden stairs brings you down to the main bar area to the right and a smaller bar between the male and females toilets. The tables are low down and can be reserved with a table full of ice to sit your champers nicely in the middle. People come in to chat are rarely boogie in the main standing area even though the DJ plays funky house/dance tunes.
