if you’re after a standard drink and don’t really care about ambiance or buzz or whatever - just drinking with your mates, then head to The Lot. Cheap drinks, good location that close to the cinema, riverside bars, and the host of restaurants. Quite studenty though, so if thats not your scene grab a few shots and move on.

With a perfect location on the riverside, this is a great place to unwind in the summer months while sipping on an ice cold beverage. Great place to watch the big games too like the rugby and football on their big screens. Drinks are reasonably priced too.

A quick, and far cheaper way, to get around London via tube, train and bus. Simply top up a set amount (£5/£10/£15 etc) and you’re off. And the great thing is that once you’ve clocked up a certain number of trips in a day the fare will automatically revert to a travelcard. Watch out for pre-pay not being permitted on trains and DLRs.
Slight question mark over the logging of your travel as the TFL know your whereabouts and travel routines etc. Big Brother is watching you…

A great bench which is ideal for gaining a moments rest from the office if you work nearby, or are in the middle of a tour. It’s quite spacious and has shade provided by a large tree for the summer months.
Ideally situated on the walk from The Tate Modern to Borough Market, a 10min stop to rest your feet will stand you in good stead.

Based in 'media land’ Alphabet is a trendy bar thats got a great location on Beak Street. The place as a bit of character too as the basement furniture is made up of old car seating while there is a map of central London painted on the floor.
It’s probably had it’s day as the hotspot of activity, and the drinks are quite expensive. The food is of a good standard however (there is a tapas bar right next to it if you feel the need), and the place does have a chilled vibe so it good for a relaxing drink. Fri/Sats are quite busy though.
