The No Sign Wine Bar - Swansea
56 Wind Street, Swansea, Wales SA1 1EG
05-02-2009
I actually like this place! ( though I hate most of the other venues in Wind street ) It’s quiet and the regulars are civilised!
Also I find the bar staff very polite and helpful. My partner and I had a meal there last night, sitting next to a roaring fire with snow outside was really nice. We had welsh beef steaks with hand cut chips and mushrooms plus side salad, and to follow, a panacotta with raspberry coulis. Finally two Irish coffees. The bill came to £34 which I thought was very reasonable. The food was well presented and delicious. I will definitely eat there again.

I love this shop, it is SO interesting to go in and browse. It is full of things that are pleasing to the eye, such as lovely silver jewellery, silk scarves in beautiful jewel colours, chinese laquer cabinets, trinkets, crystal balls etc, if you are looking for a really unusual gift you just know that the person will love what you buy from here!
Wok & Roll - Swansea
7 Cradock Street, Swansea, Wales SA1 3EN

Absolutely love this place! It has a massive open kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared, food is presented in a neat little American style box, first of all let me start off by saying they do the best lunchtime deal, for £3.60 you can get any meal of your choice suchas sweet and sour chicken, prawns in satay sauce, chicken with a curry sauce, vegetable options for vegetarians, and all of this comes with rice or noodles, a pack of prawn crackers and a bottle of water or a juice box! Food is outstanding, the amount of food you get is more than enough for two people to get full on, trust me on this you won’t eat a box each!
Coffee Denn - Mumbles
Newton Road, Swansea, Wales SA3 4AX
17-12-2008
This is a nice little cafe to visit while shopping in Mumbles. It’s quite comfortable with several sofas in one corner You can have coffee and a cake, a toasted crumpet, or something more substantial. They do toasted sandwiches and paninis, jacket potatoes, and Christmas dinners at the time of writing. Prices are reasonable and the food is good!

A great little charity shop which has just opened on Brynymor road. They sell good quality clothes, prices averaging £3 for a top and a very reasonable £5 for a nice coat. They also have shoes Christmas cards and decorations, and an excellent selection of books. Very friendly staff and a really good cause!
Blue Banana - Swansea
38 Union Street, Swansea, Wales SA1 3DZ
29-11-2008
Very popular with teenagers especially if you like dark clothing and leather with studs on! Actually Blue Banana stocks a variety of things calculated to appeal to younger people and is very busy on a Saturday. They do sell quite a lot of clothes, hoodies etc, also jewellery, smoking items and “herbal” tobacco, incense, Bad taste Bears and various wacky ornaments. Upstairs you can get a piercing done.

Aldi - Swansea
Carmarthen road, Swansea, Wales SA5 8JL

I love the special offers here, had some wonderful prawns in garlic the last time I came, under two pounds. Their cold meats and cheeses are very good too, especially the german ham. They have special offers on fresh fruit and veg.,such as peppers, baked potatoes, and green apples for 69p There are many other interesting items instore too especially near christmas, and the store is never really crowded. You do need a pound coin for a trolley though!
Chick on the hill - Swansea
Townhill road, Swansea, Wales SA1 6JD

Great food here, As the name suggests they serve mostly southern fried style chicken which is really nice, you can have chips or roast potatoes with it, plus the salad of your choice, all freshly made, with coleslaw, onions etc. They also serve.lamb and chicken kebabs and burgers, beef or chicken. Nice clean place and friendly service.
Starbucks Coffee Company - Cadle
4 Pontardulais Road, Swansea, Wales SA5 4BA
28-11-2008
This Starbucks is at the Tesco Extra shopping centre at Fforestfach. It is situated in Borders store which is a really nice location. What could be better after a spot of retail therapy than a nice cup of coffee here! I know they are not really cheap, costing about a pound more for a latte than local cafes, but it’s nice to go in for a treat and have a delicious skinny muffin with your drink, less guilt too! Hot chocolate is nice in winter, and frappuccino in the summer. Cost for two drinks and two cakes usually comes to about £8. Seating is very comfortable with lots of comfy sofas.
