The stadium is still incomplete (one stand has opened but construction has yet to commence on the other) and I haven’t had a chance to visit it yet but I have been a fan for a very long time and as it has the potential to become one of the best football grounds in the city it deserves to be listed.
Rovers finally put roots down in a home they could call their own in 2009 after over twenty years as nomads trundling from one ground to the next after the loss of Glenmalure Park. With any luck they’ll resume their collection of silverware too!

Excellent art house cinema that also screens many commercial releases and retrospectives. A better experience than the chains as it’s possible to have a drink in the bar beforehand and have a browse through the shop.
It publishes its listings well in advance so it’s possible to plan a weekend cinema trip with more than just a day or two of notice.

I had reason to celebrate recently and chose the Cockpit - much to the delight of my guests. The all male crowd approved of the old man pub feeling and its slightly secluded location met with approval as we all had a table with a good view of the big screen. Perfect for watching the conclusion of the Six Nations.
Service is very friendly, decor is unpretentious and it’s quite simply one of the nicest pubs you choose for a few drinks in this part of town.
Luckily there are other pubs closer to the train station that serve to deflect the more poseurish crowd. Hallelujah for that!

I usually visit here once or twice a week when I’m working in Soho and for a walk-thru restaurant it ain’t half bad. The meals are pretty decent considering the food is cooked in bulk and the service is usually quite swift. Decent selection of sushi and soft drinks too.
Timing, however, is pretty important. It’s best to go early and the couple of times I went there after 2pm I noticed that the food was not as tasty as usual. Get there early.

This small cinema is just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of horde thronged Leicester Square but may be a better option for those seeking interesting or off beat fare rather than the just the experience of seeing a blockbuster on a massive screen.
The downsides, however, are that the foyer is extremely small and serves only a comparatively limited selection of drinks and snacks. On a recent visit I was also disappointed by the quality of the screen as the material used to manufacture it made the picture look somewhat pixelated.
Credit to Odeon for providing alternative programming but the nearby Curzon on Shaftsbury Avenue is a better venue.
