Not a bad health food shop - but doesn’t stock many fresh items. Mainly stocks bagged dried foods and food supplements. I’d go in here if I was in the shopping centre anyway - but to be honest it’s probably worth walking 5 minutes up the road to Holland & Barrett which has a far bigger selection. I think this store also has a website (so maybe they stock more online)

I have mixed views about this shop.
On the plus side I love the contemporary styles it stocks. If you have seen a recent style on a “celebrity”/in a magazine you can guarantee that there will be some version of it in here.
On the downside are the prices and the quality. Shoes are not cheap - I don’t think there is very much for under £80 in here (except for flip flops - see later !) and the quality is questionable. I’ve had a pair of boots and a pair of flip flops from here and both looked really tatty really quickly. The flip flops were a particular disappointment. They were about £45 (I bought them on the basis that I thought they would last a long time) and after going tatty quickly the bit between one of the toes snapped after hardly any wear at all. For one reason or another I didn’t take them back (but now I’m thinking about it again I really wish I had !)
I’ll go in there if there is a sale on - but I wouldn’t pay full price for anything in here !

This is my favourite of all the chain shoe shops. It’s a bit more expensive than some of it’s competitors - but the shoes are such good quality and the styles really fashionable.
This shop is quite large (but there is also a Nine West concession within Debenhams). They always seem to have lots of stock in and very rarely when you ask to try something on do they say they don’t have it.
Shop only sells womens shoes. Shop also sells a range of bags (which are also very nice quality) and a limited range of clothing items (eg : during the winter they stock a few coats/jackets).
Best of all - some of the styles come in halves ! Perfect if, like me, you are a six and a half !

I would describe the clothes in this shop as “sophisticated”. They are aiming at a young but conservative shopper, or someone shopping for a formal occassion. I personally would only go in here if I was looking for clothes for work, however, they do stock lots of less formal items (albeit not quite to my taste).
Shop is only relatively small but they always have quite a few bits to look at. Clothing is always of very good quality. I have a work blouse from here that I have washed to death but it still emerges looking pretty good !
Prices are a little bit on the high side, however, it is arguably reflected in the quality. Staff are always very chatty and friendly.

This is the best (even though it may be the only !) fancy dress shop in Brighton.
It’s a tiny dark shop in the North Laines which is just crammed with costumes. They update their stock regularly and they always have contemporary characters available together with more traditional outfits. Prices aren’t that cheap (you can admittedly buy a cheap fancy dress on the internet for less than they charge to hire theirs) but the quality is that much better.
Also stock a great range of fancy dress accessories - eg : wigs, plastic swords and fake blood !
They get busy at the obvious times (eg : halloween and Christmas) so best to get in early if there is something you specifically want.
Really friendly and helpful staff.

If you want a pair of trendy trainers go here !
They stock a wide range of “leisure” trainers (ie : not ones that you would actually use for sport) from all the main names - eg : Nike, Addidas and Puma. Stock is unusual and different to that which you would find in the usual sport shops. Always seem to stock “retro” looking trainers (including, much to my delight, Reebock Pumps !) and skateboard bumpers !
I often go in there for a look with my boyfriend and we have the same argument about whether or not it just stocks mens shoes or not. I think that it does. He thinks that it doesn’t. You certainly do get females in their looking (or, maybe, like me they are just following their boyfriends around) and I think it is fair to say that a lot of the styles are unisex. If it’s a “girly” pair of trainers that you are after though this isn’t the place to go !

Unless it’s changed (which I doubt !) this shop is really disappointing.
As the name suggests it is a “factory shop” selling a real mismatch of stock from “well known” brands. No idea if the stock is seconds or whether it is just surplus to requirements !
I’ve been in there a few times and have seen a couple of things that have caught my eye and which I wanted to try on. On every occassion they have only had extra large or extra small sizes - and not a lot in the middle !
Stock is quite random eg : jumpers in the summer and t-shirt in the winter. Items are priced at lower than the RRP but have never thought that anything a real bargain in there.
Have a nose if you are in the area - but don’t make a special journey to go there !

I’m not even so sure that this shop is still in the shopping centre (I thought I had heard on the grapevine that it had closed down !). I really hope it hasn’t as it’s a great one stop shop for casual wear.
Shop was almost made up of concessions of the “trendier” casual wear makes - eg : Diesel, Ted Baker and Miss Sixty. Shop sold both mens and womens clothes. Also stocked a range of shoes (again, the “trendier” makes, eg Uggs), trainers and a small range of accessories (eg : bags).
Stock were names at the “upper end” of the high street and were priced accordingly. This shop was no more expensive than buying the items elsewhere.

This is a deceptively bigger shop than it looks from the outside as it goes quite a long way back - and then round a corner !
This is a great shop to go for classics - such as work clothes, jumpers and t-shirts - as there is no doubt that the clothes are well made and reasonably priced. It just isn’t as “trendy” and up to the minute as most of it’s competitors. I would never go there if I wanted something for a special occassion - or indeed for a night out. I do, however, have a work suit which I bought from them years ago and it has certainly stood the test of time ! It still looks great now !
The believe that the company is french and the store and stock certainly does have a european feel about them.

I love this shop - and it’s my first point of call when I want something for a “special occassion”.
This shop is at the upper end of High Street fashion. The styles of clothes are so contemporary and follow current trends. They do not have many styles in each collection - but they change their collections regularly. The quality of the materials used and the quality of the finish is just unrivaled by any other of their competitors.
The Brighton shop stock both men and womens clothes. There are always lots of staff available to answer any questions.
Only downside of this shop is their prices (and why it doesn’t get 5 stars !). A dress will be in the region of £150 - £200 and even a simple t-shirt can set you back £50. I wouldn’t go there for simple everyday items. And I’d take my credit card.
