Thai Gurder - Wimbledon

Honestly, this is some of the best food you'll taste.  What a gem in the heart of Southfields!
Their thai green curry is to die for.  Prices are so reasonable for portions.  I moved away from the area, have tried so many places but nothing lives up to this.

I usually got take-away but have eaten in their quaint, charming restaurant a number of times.  Staff are oriental, the real deal.

If you're around the area, its a crime not to go in!

The Fine Line - City of London

Good spot.  Friday evenings are jam-packed, full of suits looking for a pint, but not pretentious like a lot of City bars, prices are average for location.  Bar staff are friendly and generally serve quite quickly.

Premier Apartments Liverpool Eden Square - Liverpool

Eden Square, Hatton Garden, Liverpool, Merseyside L3 2FE

Have stayed at Premier Apartments Liverpool 3 times.  Great alternative to a hotel or staying at family/friends houses.  Lovely serviced apartments within walking distance to shopping centre.  Well equipped kitchen, a washing machine, tv with dvd and stereo.  Great when visiting friends, for shopping/partying, a weekend getaway.

Had to pay for wifi though.

Definitely beats staying in a heartless hotel.

Will continue to come back provided the prices/standard remain.

Odeon Putney - Putney

25 Putney High Street, Putney, London SW15 1SN

Nice little local cinema.  Big downfall is that its pricey for local cinema.  Even Westfield in a huge mall is much cheaper.  I paid £15-something to watch a movie on a Sunday.  We were the only ones in there (midday show)... perhaps they're trying to make up costs.

Would rather venture out or wait for whatever it was to come out on DVD.

The Comedy Store - Leicester Square

1a Oxendon Street, London W1D 6BP

Came away with stomach ache... from laughing so much.

Brilliant comedians, a great night out.

Price of drinks is average, food is horrible so I'd eat before and just have a few drinks at the venue.  Seating is not allocated so arrive in good time if you want to be near the front.

Go on... have a laugh!

Citizen Smith - Putney

You could come here any night of the week and enjoy it.  I have...not consecutively of course.
Saturday nights get pretty packed after 8 and after about 10 you can barely move.
They have great food, try their nachos.  Make the most of the cocktails during happy hour, they're delish.
Great place for meeting mates on a weekend afternoon - have a bite to eat, chill our and chin-wag.

Gro Hair Stylists - Clapham

Arch 641 Voltaire Road, Clapham, London SW4 6DH

Busy salon situated under the arches of Clapham Rail Station and a minute's walk from Clapham North station.  I love this salon, started coming here at the recommendation of a friend who had beautiful hair. Carla, an Aussie import is amazing who studied hairdressing for 4 years (knows what she's talking about), she has bright, vivacious red hair to match her personality. Not only is Carla highly entertaining, she is great at cutting and ACTUALLY listens to what you want.

I was a client here for 2.5 years and stopped going as I moved the otherside of London so thought I'd try local.  But not having much luck so I'll be back.

Coffee whilst you're getting your hair done, you can also get a mani/pedi at the same time.  Not bad ey!

Giving it 4* only as sometimes its so popular/busy it takes away from the relaxing experience. If that is even a bad thing for some.

Carla's your gal.

Paul A Young Fine Chocolates - City of London

20 The Royal Exchange, Threadneedle Street, London EC3V 3LP

29-11-2012

No one in their right mind can right something horrible about British chocolate... Paul's is no exception.

Received a hamper as an Easter gift and am hooked.  Some of the best, smoothest yet full chocolate I have tasted.

Love it!

extreme needle - Leicester Square

I love this place!  I've had my ear pierced here twice before (helix/cartilage pierced and conch).

Roni has done both of these and I will not go anywhere else.  She changes gloves every time she touches anything (eliminate infection), opens a new needle in front of you (no chance of hepatitis here), lets you change your mind 101 times and shows you exactly where the needle will go, not rushing your decision.  Prices are reasonable (paid £35 for each).  Also very knowledgeable about piercing (having a number of her own) which gives me confidence.

Above all else, Roni is the most positively energised person, someone who is good for the soul and someone you are blessed to meet in this lifetime.  Come away feeling confident about individuality.

I just got home from having my third piercing (between the helix and conch), it looks fab.  Very happy!

Royal Exchange - Westminster

Threadneedle, London EC3V 3LP

Apparently you do not need to be near a sea-side town to enjoy great fish and chips!

Having passed the Royal Exchange a trillion times, I thought it was only for 'business men'.  I was recommended by a colleague to take a friend who was visiting London.  Had the best fish and chips I've had in the whole of the UK (and that is saying a lot).  I now come regularly to meet friends after work either to eat, for cocktails (which are delicious) and drinks or just a coffee after work.

Its a grand building, open space with high ceilings, a piece of London history.

Prices are very reasonable.  Would absolutely recommend.
