I quite liked this place early in the morning, right before I had a flight to catch. The space is open and bright, friendly and relaxed. The music was a bit too 80’s and a bit too loud for B that early in the morning. Their toast, a big, very thick slice was tasty. You won’t need much else for breakfast afterwards.
My tea was just fine, B’s coffee was deemed “quite good”. They offer more substantial breakfasts, plus salads and burgers for lunch/dinner. There’s also a takeaway bar, particularly good for your morning coffee. They do the whole range of espresso drinks.
Very friendly vibe, usually busy in the evenings. When they open the windows, it’s especially nice.
There’s a cute room in the back that can be reserved for groups as well. Oh, and the loos are quite fun.

Finding this restaurant is a real trick. I’d recommend asking at the front desk of the hotel, as it’s not connected to the bar. Apparently they only recently started serving dinner to non-hotel guests, though I’d recommend calling ahead, just so that they know you’ll be dining that evening.
It’s a nice restaurant, but definitely off the radar, so on a Friday evening only four tables were dining. Though you definitely want to book ahead for afternoon teas, as they can fill up (according to our waiter, who also said that the Ritz sends their hotel guests for tea to Duke’s because the Ritz is usually fully booked). Afternoon tea is around 20 quid.
We ate from the price-fixe menu, and the mains definitely seemed pared down compared to the regular menu. 19.50 quid for 3 courses though, isn’t too bad (and top table has some specials on at the moment) for a quiet evening meal with friendly service.
Vegetarians are well catered for here, though vegas would have difficulty. The wines were very reasonably priced. Just getting to the hotel and then its dining room feels quite special, like you’ve found a secret garden. I wouldn’t bring a large crowd to dine here, as you would overwhelm the room, but I definitely plan on heading back for the afternoon teas and maybe the Sunday roasts.

Bewarned, you always walk out with more than you intend. This is a very solid art supply shop, which also works well for weekend craft warriors like myself. I come here for paper, pens, paper cutters, craft punches and to ogle the pretty messenger bags and moleskines. They have kits for trying out different crafts as well, which make for good presents. They also have a decent selection of japanese pens. You can definitely while away some time just wandering through the store dreaming up things to do with all their supplies.

This is a very nice gym! Mind you, you pay for it, but at least people are friendly. And since there’s towel service, people do wipe off the equipment when they’re done. Fun classes, including hula hooping and power plate. 25 metre pool with three lanes. I like the view from the elliptical trainers, lots of trees. Lots of aerobic machines, though still it does get busy during lunch or after work. Squash courts too.

For such a small space, they do pack a lot of groceries and items for the home into the shop. Definitely has a wider selection of items than a Tesco Express, not as diverse a selection as Waitrose (both nearby).
This shop works if you’re just looking for lunch or if you need to do a proper shop. I feel like prices are on par with a Tesco. Items are likely to be quite fresh, as the shop is always busy.
