Cafe Gnosh - Rugby
2 Eastfield Place, Rugby, Warwickshire CV21 3AT

Although my order was correct after three attempts at getting it right, the food was “so so”. On their website there is a “Tell us what you think” facility………DON’T!
I have never had such a torrent of abuse from a restaurant proprieter in my life!
To be avoided, in my opinion.

First class service at keen prices. All work supervised by the owners who are always present and working. A 20 mile roundtrip for me but well worth it!
Garden Barn - Cotesbach
Town End Farm, Cotesbach, Lutterworth, Leicestershire LE17 4HS
27-01-2012
Home & garden store, Local Art and Sculpture Gallery, Garden Design studio, Garden and Homeware, Gifts and Plants, First class light refreshment facilities.
Situated on an A426 between Rugby and Lutterworth, the calm within is amazing and the wealth of gift ideas and quality goods for home and garden.
Visit their website and read about the history of the farm and, in particular the barn itself? It’s an education.
An absolute must, and my main reason for visiting regularly, is the refreshment area. It really is sublime. There is a small seating area right opposite the counter which, in the colder months, has a log burning fire.
There is a larger and very comfortable seating area in an upstairs lounge with mixed seating….sofas, armchairs, tables….another log burning fire which is regularly attended to. Sink into one of the cozy chairs and watch the traffic pass yet at the same time feeling, as if perhaps, you are somewhere else?
An impressive array of homemade cakes etc., awaits your attention when you place your order which, even if you choose to take a seat in the upstairs lounge, will be brought to you by a member of the pleasant staff. For a light lunch you may try their delcious homemade soup with a roll?
I would be happy to recommend this establishment to my female contacts as a place for the unaccompanied traveller to stop and rest a while in a spotlessly clean and safe environment.
Worth a detour!!
Manor Farm Shop And Tea Room - Catthorpe
Main Street, Catthorpe, Lutterworth, Leicestershire LE17 6DB

“Small Business of the Year Winners at the Rugby Business Awards 2010”
Step inside and you’ll see why?
This is a working farm as opposed to a farm which has opened a shop selling, in the main, products from elsewhere.
Here they use as much of their own produce as possible…..check their home-made pies, cakes and puddings? Find yourself a table facing the busy kitchen and watch them being made?
Very friendly atmosphere. Personal, attentive service
and quality assured at all times. There is even an onsite artisan florist!
The website lists all the regular and seasonal events they organise….and there are many!
My wife and I always try not to miss the “credit crunch lunch” every Friday and the exceptional traditional Sunday Lunches?
Manor Farm’s busy facebook page is also worth a visit.

Cheese on the Green - Rugby
27 The Green, Rugby, Warwickshire CV22 7LZ
23-12-2011
One of the better independently owned and run businesses to open in the Rugby area for some time.
“Cheap cheese” will always be available elsewhere but it won’t even approach the standards here?
Superb international range of cheeses all sold in perfect condition.
Excellent range of chutneys, pickles, condiments, snacks and gifts for the cheese lover.
“Expert” advice from the “expert” owner always available.
Mail order service.
Own website.
Worth the detour!!
Badsey's Cafe Bistro - Rugby
The Locks, Rugby, Warwickshire CV21 4PP

Lovely welcoming place in a canalside setting on the outskirts of Rugby.
Good food at reasonable prices. Fully licenced. Clean. Friendly.
Recommended for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just a drink and a chat.
Worth a detour.

We’ve always had excellent service here. Very professional. There’s much more to your local pharmacy than pills and potions.
Good All Chinese Restaurant - Rugby
Central Park Local Centre, Central Park Drive, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 0WE
16-12-2011
Pretty poor when my wife and I last visited. They seemed to trade off the adjacent Premier Inn for business? Not very good value and an “anglicised menu” Not recommended. As of today…………looks like it has closed which is a shame because, in the right hands and with better direction, it could have been a goldmine?
St Thomas Cross - Newton
Newton Road, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 0DN
16-12-2011
Strange place. Visited late weekday afternoon….not paricularly friendly to strangers. All male clientele centred around the bar and the dartboard……otherwise empty?
