Cafe Fresh Sandwich Bar - Whitechapel
29 Commercial Road, London E1 1LD
16-06-2009
I have not seen a fresh sandwich bar called fresh at this address though there is a newly opened one next to whitechapel station at 275 whitechapel high street around the corner. This is an good new coffee shop with an interesting glass roof upstairs. Most food and coffees are cheap and this a good break from whitechapel market.
la figa - Limehouse
45 Narrow Street, Narrow Street, London E14 8DN

Really enjoy coming to this restaurant as the food is brilliant. Although quite expensive the cooks know how to create authentic Italian meals without ruining the pasta. In addition the pizzas are very good as well, better than many chain pizza places. Two can eat cheaply for around 35 pounds though the menu does include more expensive options. Definitely better than the nearby Narrow.
the royal duchess - Limehouse

This pub was refurbished in 2008. The positive points are that it is quite cheap and there is a place to drink outside. On the negative I felt a bit unwelcome as there were a number of quite unfriendly other customers. The inside is not very well decorated. The landlord seemed friendly though.
Cafe Kick - Clerkenwell
43 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QL
16-06-2009
An amazing very friendly latin American themed bar. The focus is the table football it is a great place if you want to warm up before going out in Shoreditch. When playing table football often random people will come up and challenge you and your friends, making a fun atmosphere, often these people can be amazing or a hell of a lot worse than you. This place attracts table football players of all standards.
Altitude 360 London - Millbank
29th Floor Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, Westminster, London SW1P 4QP
16-06-2009
This is a great venue with amazing views across london that are about as high as the millenium wheel. I found the service here was great, the interior modern, and the general organisation very good. As with the London eye the views were best early evening being able to see most of the hills of London on the clear day we were there. Definitely recommended as a venue to hire out.
Ping Pong - Westminster
Quayside Tower Bridge House, St Katherines Docks, London E1W 1BA
16-06-2009
Although this is probably the best of a bad bunch in St. Katherines docks found the food not very filling, quite expensive and the service was quite slow. On the positive it is a good place to sit overlooking the docks and the dim sum is very good. Probably the best place to eat overlooking the docks with only cafe rouge and strada to compete with. Only worth a visit if your starving in the area and can’t walk across tower bridge to a selection of better restaurants.
Office de Tourisme d'Olargues - Olargues
Avenue Gare, 34390 Olargues

This is a fantastic village in France, beautifully situated in the mountains, I think it was voted in the top 20 of picturesque villages to visit in France. It has a number of points of interest, the devils bridge, an old monastery and interesting cafes and restaurants. Primarily it is a good place to stay to enjoy the surrounding scenery with many outdoor activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, hill walking, climbing, caving and horse riding. More importantly the wine in the area is fantastic and the food is amazing, worth visiting.
Whitechapel Art Gallery - City of London
80 Whitechapel High Street, London E1 7QX
26-06-2008
Great gallery to see small exhibitions, often free and also has entertaining evenings. There is also a good coffee shop. Well situated to see before going down Brick Lane on a Sunday or seeing before a curry.
Genesis Cinema - Whitechapel
93-95 Mile End Road, London E1 4UJ
26-06-2008
A individual cinema that can be hit and miss depending on what screen you end up in. Its probably the cheapest place in london to go with tickets at £3-4 for students and £5 for adults. The main screen is great its a converted theatre (from the old Paragon), but some of the smaller screens are not comparable. Cheap and can be very cheerful.
Clowns Coffee Bar - Cambridge
54 King Street, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire CB1 1LN
26-06-2008
If I am in Cambridge I try and come here as often as possible a perfect place near the centre of town to grab a coffee from a very welcoming Neapolitan Family. The coffee is pretty cheap and good £1.20 and I can also recommend the vegetarian pasta for £3.00 as a good lunch.
The interior has recently been refurbished and now consists of a large mahogany coffee bar in the front of the shop. But there are still many pictures drawn (mainly by kids) of clowns around the restaurant still keeping with the charm of the old cafe.
There are a mix of people who drink here, from regulars, students and tourists, this is one of my favourite places in Cambridge.
