Great Authentic Greek restaurant. It’s not cheap, but the portions are huge…you won’t leave hungry that’s for sure.
St. Stephen's Green - Dublin

As others have said, a lovely park in the centre of Dublin…! The flowers here are absolutely beautiful, and the park is maintained really well. Go here when the sun is shining and take a spot on the grass to relax and take in all the sights and sounds of Dublin.

A lovely bright shopping centre (lots of glass and windows). Not your usual shops here, there are a mixture of designer shops and cheaper shops. There are 3 floors of shops. I definitely recommend the coffee shop on the top floor, they do a great iced coffee. Go! You’ll spend plenty of time in there going in an out of shops…you may also spend lots of money too! :-)

We found this little Italian restaurant on our wanders to the Temple Bar area.
The speciality is their pizzas, and although I didn’t have one, my fiance did and it looked lovely. I had pasta which was really tasty.
The waitresses were ok, one of them wasn’t particularly nice, so we did have to complain, but the food is definitely worth it.
Not badly priced either. Definitely recommend it!
Mongolian Barbecue - Dublin
7 Anglesea street, Dublin

My fiance has always wanted to try a Mongolian BBQ, so we went to this one on our short trip to Dublin.
The staff were all very helpful and advised us of what we needed to do. Basically, there is a buffet cart, with onions, broccoli, other veg and then raw meat (chicken, beef and pork), there is also tofu and fish (I believe shark!). Then there is a section with herbs and spices which you add in your bowl. The next step is to add a couple of ladels of sauces and hey presto, you pass it to the chef who then grills your concotion into an edible meal! Rice is unlimited and brought to your table.
The cost was EURO 22.99 for as much as you like. If you fancy a dessert, I recommend the Mongolian Velvet….yummmmy!!
Harvester Restaurants - Watford
St. Albans Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD25 0LL

Ok…so the only really good thing about the Harvester is the salad bar….good choice of salads and you can keep going back. But, the service is normally very bad. We ordered our drinks and only received them half an hour later. Food turned up fairly quickly and was fine, but it is generally just the same old.
It’s ok if you want a simple meal with lots of salad. :0)
shenley tea rooms - Radlett
Radlett, Hertfordshire

I went here the other day for lunch and ordered a sandwich….it turned up on fresh home made bread (mmm :-)). They also do homemade cakes and you can even have a cream tea here. It will be a great place in the summer as there are set walks you can go (maps along the way) and there is a kiddies playground for…kiddies (!!).
Enjoy :0)
Thai Edge - Edgware
177, Station Road, London HA8 7JX
05-04-2008
Can’t recommend this highly enough, it’s just great…but…only go on a Sunday or Monday (all day)...for £13.80 you can eat as much as you like, including Thai food and freshly made sushi. It really is unbeliveable as you can stuff your face for a reasonable price. The presentation of the food is good too.
My only down point to this restaurant is that the waiters don’t speak very good English which can get a bit frustrating, but then again as they are Thai it makes the restaurant more authentic :0)
Noodlewood - Borehamwood
42 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire WD6 1DR

We regularly order takeaways from here, because it is local to us, there is a wide variety of dishes and good for vegetarians as they also do Quorn dishes. Fast delivery times too. Also, if you want steamed dumplings, make sure you ask or they will turn up deep fried :-(
eastern brasserie - Borehamwood

A tyically authentic Indian restaurant….the waiters are very friendly and will recommend dishes to you if you are unsure.
I find it reasonably priced normally a 3 course meal for 2 of us is around £35 (including drinks).
Nice touches at the end with the orange segments, after eights and sugar covered fennel seeds :0)
