This is a Pastry House that makes some delicious things. The pastries they make measure 30 inches, have a wonderfull taste and have low prices.

They have many different flavoured pastries, so people with different tastes are welcome, and they allow you to choose extra flavours in one pastry for a little increase on the price.

They also have some good sandwiches, and their suiss lemonade is marvelous. Don’t forget to try some of their sweet pastries too, I mean, if you’re able to eat it after eating that huge main dish.

The USP (University of São Paulo) is one of the top universities of the Latin America. It has various campi in many brazilian cities. In the city of São Paulo, it has the Universitary City campus, located near the Butantã institute, and some others that are focused on a specific study areas (like Law or Medicine).

The Universitary City is a really big campus, with lots of trees and buildings. Inside it, there are many institutes, schools and universities that are part of the USP (the School of Comunications and Arts, the Architecture and Urbanism Faculty, the Politecnic School, the Biomedic Sciences Institute, the Geosciences Institute, among others). In this campus, there are also scientific research centers and big libraries, focusing on different sub-areas of the Human, Biological and Exact Sciences.

The campus is a good place for knowing people of all types and from all kind of places (there are many foreign students and teachers) and for widening your intellectual horizons. It’s also a nice place for sports practice and for cultural events (from shows to book fairs), that happen all year long.

The faculties and institutes also promote, all year, parties that are really cool and that I recommend for those who like the nightlife or those who are bored in São Paulo.

A very good italian restaurant in the Bixiga quarter, in São Paulo (not Taboão da Serra, as the address says). It has more than 100 years of tradition. There, you can choose between many types of pasta that are fabricated by the restaurant. There are also many types of sauces and side dishes.

The price is a little high (around R$50,00 for each dish), but the size of the dishes is really big, so you can split then in 2 parts, making the food cheaper for everyone.

During the nights, there are musics that play one song for each table, they sing traditional italian song and some of the brazilian samba. Of course, there is a special moment when they play the famous “Tarantella”. Then, the owner of the restaurant anouces loudly (in portuguese): “The ones that don’t clap theirs hands during the Tarantella, have their 'mama’ in the bordello!”

All in all, it’s a nice place with great food.

The “Museu do Futebol” is an interative museun about soccer and it’s greatest brazilian heroes (the 25 “Anjos Barrocos”).

There are also videos of interviews with many brazilian specialists and personalities on the brazilian soccer universe. In the interviews, the specialists and personalities talk about the goals that most impressed then in their whole lives.

The museun have a very big interative collection and makes very good use of the tecnology. However, part of its facilities aren’t fully operational yet.

It’s worth of a visit, even if you’re not a fan of tha brazilian favorite sport.

Lanchonete especializada em cachorros-quentes, possui uma grande variedade de tipos de salsicha (incluindo salsicha de soja) e vários tamanhos de lanches, com acompanhamentos variados.

Os lanches podem ser pedidos desacompanhados ou na forma de combos (lanche+batata frita+refrigerante 500ml). O preço é bastante acessível (os lanches mais caros giram em torno de R$15,00, mas são suficintemente grandes para satisfazer duas pessoas que não sejam muito gulosas) e o gosto é muito bom.

Recentemente, a lanchonete lançou um lanche com hambúrguer, que é muito gostoso e não é tão caro assim se o tamanho for levado em conta (custa cerca de R$15,00), mas que passa uma sensação de que está faltando alguma coisa.

Enfim, o Black Dog é uma ótima pedida para quem está com aquela fome de leão perto da Av. Paulista.

The Black Dog is a restaurant that’s specialized in hot-dogs. It has many types of sausages (including soy sausages) and different sizes of hot-dogs, with lots of other thing in the hot-dogs. You can order just the hot-dog or the combo (hot-dog+french fries+ 500ml soda). The price is pretty good (the most expesive combos cost around R$15,00, but are big enough to satisfy 2 persons that don’t eat much) and the taste is awesome.

Recently, the restaurant realeased their own hamburger,the Blackburguer, that is really good, but feels like there’s something missing.

The Black Dog is a really good place to go if you’re hungry in the Paulista Avenue.
