Doddybrewer's Qype profile

I stayed here recently on two occasions. The food, beer and cider in the evening were excellent. I slept well on very comfortable beds in clean and nicely furnished bedrooms. The breakfast in the morning was amongst the best I have experienced in my many wanderings. I would not hesitate to visit again. There is an extensive car park to the rear with a beer garden. I can’t understand why this pub is not better known!

The real ale was off and when the female bar staff was asked if it could be exchanged she said “you’ve paid for it so now drink it”. Some bar staff training required if the cask beer is going to continue to be enjoyed!
