There is a very good selection of new occult books here, even if the shop is small. And despite her rather forbidding demeanour the owner Geraldine is friendly enough, and is very knowledgeable about most esoteric and occult things. The bookshop was established in 1922 and was patronised by such notables as Aleister Crowley and Gerald Gardner. The bookshop runs events and lectures in their downstairs room, and also the Moot With No Name, every Wednesday upstairs at the Devreaux pub off of Fleet Street from 8pm cost £2.

I saw this gorgeous simple black dress on a girl in the shop I work in and just had to get it myself. It turned out it was from Oliver Bonas, which I was vaguely aware existed, in a kind of Dulwich/Blackheath kind of way. Turns out there's a branch just off of Fleet St. So the next day I hot footed it over there in search of the dress. They didn't have it. They did have a lovely collection of dresses and clothes, as well as fun gift book type things, costume jewellery, accessories, and girly home ware that I found immensely appealing. But I wanted that dress! The shop assistants were wonderful and ordered it in for me, it arrived the next Monday and I am now the proud owner of a lovely black dress and very very happy. Plus it was only £30, win! At the same time I picked up a Mothers Day gift, sorted.
